Miyaichi linked with second Feyenoord spell

Feyenoord has today been mooted as a possible loan destination for Ryo Miyiachi.

The Japanese winger spent 6 months at the Rotterdam club in 2011, scoring three times in the Eredivisie.

Last season he went to Wigan for the entire season, but a series of injuries meant he was unable to make the kind of progress that Arsene Wenger would have hoped for.

He’s still a long way from being ready for the first team and another loan spell seems inevitable. Voetball International claim that Ronald Koeman is looking for a winger and Miyaichi could well fit the bill.

It remains to be seen if Arsenal would prefer him to go on loan in England to get more Premier League experience, but that has to be balanced with the need to play regularly, and the lower standard of the Dutch league would make that more likely.

Good stuff. Thanks for sharing.

I just love Arsenal

We have weathered the storm. It is now time to make some waves of our own. Rivals beware, Arsene is about to unleash an unstoppable juggernaut on you

If we sign more Miyaichi’s it will be fourth place trophy time again. When we sign four world class players we might finally start competing for the Premiership.

Marcus

exclusion of the dutch skunk from arsenal memories makes the video even better

Ayo

I have always read comments on this blog but never made one myself…. watching this brought tears to my eyes. I support such a beautiful football club.

Madin

That made me very emotional. We stand on the cusp of greatness once again.

Hulk

Got to say, I miss Bergkamp more than Henry.

Silent Stanley

I’d like to see him in a starting 11 of one of the newly promoted teams. It’s amazing what regular football does to player growth.

No need to hurry with these kids.. Im up for developing them through loans till they are 22-23 if they show progress.

First team can wait. Its not like we are in a position to really give them that many chances these days and it just silences them if they stay here hoping to play 2 times in a cup.

Just choose those loans carefully.. hope they do..

The only olivier is giroud

Hope he makes it eventually… He was terribly unlucky last season regarding injuries; hopefully he kicks on at Feyenoord and returns in January a world-beating 25Mil Neymar-out-shining legend (the last bit is pure bollocks, of course, but news is scarce so please excuse me).

Wenger's Waterbottle

Hope he makes it at Arsenal – I named my son after him!

Broken Britain

Ryo Miyaichi Waterbottle?

Per

Who thumbs downs what the water bottle names his son? I don’t get it.

He needs to go somewhere where he plays regularly and regains FULL confidence after his run of injuries. By all accounts he was popular at Wolton, but he achieved legendary status in Holland. After 12 appearances (3 goals, 5 assists) he got monikered “Ryodinho” even though Ryo actually rhymes with Theo – which I’m minded to think might be the more appropriate comparison. He’s still just 20 which means there’s much, much, more to come. So Feyenoord might be the better bet rather than throw him back into the argy-bargy of the Premier League. Seems a nice lad, though. No… Read more »

Malaysian Gooner

I believe AW has already made it clear he wont be loaned to a foreign club because he needs to play in England for 3 consecutive years before the age of 21 to be considered homegrown.

He will get loaned to another PL team of a Championship team.

Finally there’s news about a player who’s first name isn’t “Arsenal target”

on a serious note, hope he makes it. Watched all of their games the last time he was in Holland.
Plus, he’s the only person ever to complete all the stages of Takeshi’s castle.

Sending abroad again would be retarded.
