Some Weird Guy

This could be promising!

jack jack jack

Arsene sure does like to keep us guessing. Not a bad fucking bench eh?

begeegs

What a shocking starting striker.

Confused gunner

We need Bendtner back asap!!!

Wellorden

Sanogo has too much too learn.

heroldgoon

Sanogos last start before falcao rules

Arsene's Wengerboyz

Meanwhile, spuds is being trashed at home 0-3. Hardly a surprise but still…

Springbank 1965

Bench.

WengersNoseHair

…is Dench

BelgianGoon

Özil central please.

heroldgoon

sky have him central

happy gunner

Come on sanogo, now is the time to shine son. I and most arsenal fans believe in you!

Go YaYa

TR7 > CR7

I’ve put Sanogo in my fantasy football team, made him captain and named my team “No Sanogo, No Party”. I believe. Come on Yaya!

goonerbynature

His prerogative today is definitely going to be to go and create chaos in a crowded penalty area and create space for others, which his mobility is really good at, allowing other goal threats like Aaron, Alexis and Santi to gain space.

Hope he gets a goal himself!

Hedgehog

Go lads. Hope we get a great fat result today.

Oor Wullie

Sanogo’s gonna score at some point. Good chance of it being today I reckon.

EverEsco21

I really was hoping that Arsene would further explore the Alexis up front system to get everybody on the same page. It looks like this would be the plan b in Giroud’s absence and we need to get the team firing on all cylinders. I don’t think Sanogo is first team ready but trust in Arsene…

Anonymous Physicist

To me, it makes a lot of sense to play with a big guy up front against a team that will come to defend, and to play with Alexis up front for a match that’s expected to be more even. That seems to be what’s going on.

Gooneron

Wenger must be very good at a game of poker

begeegs

To play poker, you have to actually play. I am not even sure that Wenger is at the table.

Dylan

Or maybe Wenger is so good at poker he generally leaves the table as a means of confusing and thus beating his opponents?

ethomaz

I think this is best when playing a team set up to defend , as Leicester probably will be today. Would love to see a bit of flexibility by reverting to Sanchez up front when (yes, when) we go ahead, as that was when it worked best on Wednesday.

Amusa

I went Campbell to feature in the second half.

GunnerG

Great lineup. Gives Sanogo the opportunity to show what he has. COYG!!

monkiebeznes

Sanogo indeed showed. WOW! What a terrific player!!!

jedi

The bench looks so fucking good, but we still have Sanogo upfront..

Not a rant but meh, I’d definitely give Campbell a go at CF, loves to run in behind defenders, just like Wenger was saying the other day, the reason the doesn’t play Podolski.

WizardOfOzil

Not so long ago Sanogo was looking at a career delivering letters to people, now he’s spearheading an attack flanked by Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez.

I’m applying to be a postman.

begeegs

Or maybe you could apply as a starting striker to gain a job at the post office 😉

DarylC

Was certainly not expecting that. Interesting!! Lets see how we do, COME ON YOU ARSENAL! Lets get ahead of City and stay there!

ronererier than ever

Where’s Abu Dhabi?

Forfucksake

Forever in our shadows they remain to be but wanted them to at least draw today. Would be nice for a comfortable win today as its stressful viewing us these days costing me a fortune in fags. Lets be two up by half time and early second half goal to make us feel comfortable please.

Eddie Garcia

So glad to see Mertesacker and Koscielny back together again! I’m also backing Sanogo to score today!

ronererier than ever

Arseblog tactics man, can you tell us why Wenger doesn’t ever play with 2 wingers

DARKO

1 defender on bench ….

Jed

darko… I thought that. Slightly un-nerving…

Wingardium LeviOzil

I’m a bit worried about the fact that the only defender we have on the bench is Chambers. Knowing our luck that could be a problem.

Tibetan Gooner

It’s time to gain some recharge, confidence…line up is good to go

GoonerGary

Five nil, one goal each.

TanzanianGun

Ozil, get back on the spotlight no matter the position, you are unstopable. “make sanogo famous”

Phil

Credit to Leicester, Cambiasso was a great player and I would think he’s still good enough to help them avoid relegation. Smart signing, that one.

john

How can Wenger say we’re over stocked with strikers then play Sanogo? Starting Sanogo is the very definition of being short of centre forwards

Sam Gooner

Last time we faced them we were The Invincibles I have been told.

OzilsAbandonedGlasses

Ozil better not be playing on the left again (or what? I hear you ask, Nothing but I will be very sad you and you won’t like me when i’m sad)

Sam Gooner

John has a point you know. If he doesn’t score against a promoted side then he certainly can’t lead a title chasing club

Bob Truelove

Need Rambo to grab a few goals. The fantasy team has taken a reaming this weekend

Anonymous Physicist

It probably doesn’t even matter how many goals Sanogo scores today – our own fans will still be complaining about his record all day tomorrow. I’m hoping for a nice understated single goal from him today though. And then maybe another one next week. And another one a or two after that.

john

Sanogo’s not ready for the Arsenal first team on a consistant basis, to suggest otherwise is ridiculous

Steve

Unbelievable another game and another injury to Kos

john

Haha a Sanogo assist from his own incompetence brilliant!

spinner

Heh! He is a bit shite, isn’t he? Let’s hope Le Prof realises this before awarding him a 5 year £15m contract, like he did with Bendtner.

john

I can’t see what he brings to the team at the moment, but again we’re over stocked with strikers so what do i know

EverEsco21

We all really need to accept that Sanogo isn’t first team ready, I’m all for developing the youth but it is coming at the expense of the team. It feels like we are always spending time trying to get somebody to grow into a position whilst other teams are playing with players that are more than ready and it shows in the performance.

Henry

I get the fact that we have to support our players but wenger is running a fine line starting Sanogo as our ST in games that matter. Play him in u21 until he learns how to do his job not at the cost of the team.

iffynno

And they say Sanogo has huge potential, maybe I’m the only who thinks otherwise.he is absolute shit, even if he scores today.

spinner

He wont score today. I heard he’s going for Jon Jensen’s record.

Alexstratz

Team not on par with Sanchez.

voldermort

You can’t blame sonogo. The kid has talent holds the ball well and has a good awareness when making a pass but he lacks goals. The very thing we need from a striker but the fact we may have to rely on him when he clearly isn’t ready yet is wengers fault and not sonogos.
lay off the bloke is shit stuff and lay the blame where it belongs.

john

No, he doesn’t hold the ball up well and i don’t think he’s successfully made a pass to a team mate yet either. I do agree however that it’s not his fault that he’s no good but Wengers for playing him.

Third Plebeian

HT: We look full of nerves whenever they counter. I just feel like they’re going to score every time they come at us, which doesn’t say a whole lot for our ability to defend.

Sanogo is no good. I can’t believe Wenger isn’t after a striker.

voldermort

Sonogo is having a mare yet it’s 70 mins plus and still no cambell or a switch for Sanchez in the middle. Wenger is a fucking joke

Steve

Now ozil is injured – it don’t rain it pours!!!

Steve

Another season of battling for forth unless Wenger invests!!! You can’t drop points against a newly promoted team!!! Compared to last season we are one point worse off!!!

EverEsco21

Sanogo comes off in the 75th minute, leaving 15 minutes for Podolski (who has not played all season) to make a difference in the game… This is insanity. Sanogo was nowhere close to having a good game… But Wenger philosophy of “plan a til plan a fails, then try plan a some more” is not taking us anywhere

AN Other

Wenger’s decisions have been shocking this week. He started Sanogo as a central striker ahead of Sanchez or Campbell. Doesn’t buy Remy which is the only option we had. Doesn’t replace Kos as soon as possible with Chambers. Doesn’t change any tactics whatsoever until 75 mins. Waits till 75 mins before making a change and then repalces Santi when he should have replaced Ramsey. Totally terrible from Manager’s point of view.

thegunnerboy18

if only you realise that Man united is
just 3 points below us and after
international break we have a deathrun
which include matches against man
city, aston villa, chelsea, tottenham as
well as champions league in between
against dortmund and galatasary. this
3 points could have been useful cause
we might be fucked
