Welbeck a doubt for Liverpool + Wenger’s injury updates

Arsene Wenger has revealed the latest team news ahead of this weekend’s game against Liverpool at the Emirates.

Following the Interlull there’s some iffy news regarding Danny Welbeck who tweaked a knee playing for England. He hasn’t been ruled out completely with Wenger saying he has ‘a little chance’ to be involved.

After Mikel Arteta, Jack Wilshere, Mathieu Debuchy and Abou Diaby featured in a training ground game against Brentford during the week there was an expectation that they might ready for first team action again, but the manager won’t involve them this weekend.

Also back in training is Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain who is recovering from a hamstring strain but like the others this game has come too soon for him.

So, we’re almost at a point where we have a full squad, but not quite. Things are looking up on the injury front though.

Cape Town Gunner

So Sanchez, Ozil and Santi behind Giroud then. Because Theo obviously won’t start.

Fancy Bellerin and BFG to come back into the back 4 as well.

Andy Mack

Although I think you’re probably correct, I wouldn’t be so certain about Theo. His crap showing for the national team could be the ‘wake up’ he needs to get his head down and put in a shift for us.

Bould's Eyeliner

He needs to put in shifts in a few more training sessions first I think haha. It’s risky as hell to play an out of form, defensively daft winger that positionally roams, against Liverpool. maybe sub?

Trex d' Gunner

Damn interlull, his enterprise would be needed against the mugsmashers. But we have enough guys to make Rogers and Steve G cry.

Oluwamayowa

Another Shad miracle will happen on Saturday. Welbeck will play and the cunts from Liverpool will bag goals home that day.

I’m that Confident. What about you?

Double98

Liverpool will bag goals???
bag is not a verb for “concede” ….
….is it?

I am not confident in your statement as I don’t know what that means?

Oluwamayowa

“Liverpool will bag goals home”…. cultural linguistic differences Maybe but here in Nigeria, it means we will score them loads and Make a mockery of them.
Now, I’m sure you can agree with that!

Sheldon

I cannot agree with ‘we will score them loads’. Is that what you meant to say?

Manninger

Sheldon do you know what a snooty pedant is?

Shut The Fuck Up.

Oberon

It is supposed to be english…

Wangge

One of my bestfriend is a Liverpudlian so I DEFINETLY love the idea of Arsenal thrashing Liverpool.

lolcat

but is he a Nigerian born liverpudlian?

NaijaGooner

I am Nigerian. I get your point, and I agree with you.

Kenyan Gooner

Hope Debuchy gets 20 mins on Saturday.

Stringer Bell

He is not in squad.

vince

m8 you don’t mess around with the back four in a big game. not fifa. he’ll play when he is ready

newxieland

Sterling to score an own goal and then to swap shirts with Walcott at half time

Arsepedant

I can’t thumb this one up enough times.

Rich

Thanks be to Ramsey Premier league football is back!

timmytimtimothy

Bummer, I love having two proper wide men. Think we’ve looked at our best when we do. Hoping the lads put on a show for us after what has seemed the longest international break of all time!

COYG

Stringer Bell

Big game tomorrow. If we get at em from the off me thinks we will be ok. Welbeck will be missed. Really looking forward to match. Come on you rip roaring gunners.

Double98

I think they will try and play the high intensity pressing game that caused us problems… but we don’t need to attack them – i’d prefer we concede a little possession and man city the fuck out of them

It is a pleasure welcoming back the 5 lions, wishing them quick integration to the Team. Let AW give us this day, a win is a must and God helping us…..

Reggie

Game tomorrow? Don’t think so. No Skirt or Mr G. 2-0 I reckon.

Stringer Bell

Many thanks sir, I would have been stood over there tomorrow thinking there must be a black bin liner protest type protest like the one set up so successfully by Le Cunts 🙂

UGooner

Fuck our one in one out policy with injuries. Let’s just have a full squad for once. I mean even Diaby played football. Diaby! Then we’ll make it as far up the table as we can. COYG

Thierry Walcott

The best team news is No Skirtle (not to be confused with turtle nor the Pokemon).
I love Ozil, Giroud, Alexis Alexis, Santi Motherfucking Cazorla, Coquelin and everybody else, just everybody!

COYG!!
Fuck the mugsmashers up the Arse!!! 3-1

Ramsey's Spirit

why would we concede? seems a foolish thing to do 😉 3-0

Charlie Lane

Will Gnabry be in the squad I wonder?

Stringer Bell

Sorry admin, little over the top me thinks

Raozil

They lost Skertel for one, he seems to score against us every time but not this time and Sturridge was supposed to be injured unless it’s bull that he wasn’t selected for England. Looks like a weakened scum team in my eyes.

Mark

Going to have to be Sanchez and Ozil wide with Ramsey, Carzola and Coquelin in the middle behind Giroud. Liverpool is going to press us high as teams like Spurs and SH have done recently when we’ve struggled the most and will need all the ball control we can get to get the ball over midfield. Walcott can come on late if we need to score or Rosicky if we are protecting a lead. Even if Welbeck were healthy I don’t see Wenger sitting one of Ozil, Carzola, Ramsey to get Welbeck in, although he would be very useful in… Read more »

oluwapunkey

just a win is all i ask for and no capitulation of any sort like in the home game with manchester united where we were drolling about the prospect of facing the weakest united side of all time and then we eventually end up capitulating…i dont see any reason to underate them.

Arsepedant

We didn’t capitulate, we dominated that game. Yernited scored a fluke deflected opener on a play on which the shooter was both offside and committed a blatant foul in the build-up. We then got caught on a fast break while dominating some more and pressing for an equalizer. It wasn’t any kind of capitulation, we outshot them 27-2 for fucks sake. De Gea played the match of his life and against any other goalkeeper we could have scored five easily. If there’d been a competent referee in charge, ManUre’s first goal wouldn’t have counted and they’d have been playing with… Read more »

AntiSpud

It will be a victory for us folks no worries there. The Skirtguy or not Sturridge or not we always beat them when it really matters. This time it highly does. 2 nil for me. Remember I said it first GOYG
