Gnabry loan move to West Brom confirmed

Serge Gnabry’s loan move to West Brom has been confirmed.

The German U21 international will play for the Baggies for the duration of the 2015-16 season.

Gnabry, the only current Arsenal player whose first name is also a durable, worsted fabric, last played a first team game in March 2014, and has been beset with injury since.

However, he did play at the European U21 Championships this summer, and is a genuinely exciting talent who now needs some regular first team football.

Good luck to him.

Wow… Seems a lot of our youth will be a getting taste of playing for first teams. Good for them.

Stan

*getting a taste… jeez… my first comment here and i messed it up in the excitement

Mikel Artekkers

Silent Stan speaks out at last!

GGGA

Also means I can have 2 more Arsenal (Jenks, Gnabry) player in my Fantasy team apart from the compulsory Cech, Ozil and Alexis.

Saffer Gooner

Start off with a hattrick against City on Monday please…

like a red head Ljungberg

he’s my favourite, has something so special about him, intelligence, his curls are the closest to the God.
no need to wish him anything, he’ll be what he’ll be.

RG21

He does have nice hair.

Rectum Spectrum

excellent news – needs playing time to develop, and really looking forward to seeing him week in/week out in the prem. he reminds me a lot of the ox – aggressive, positive, physically strong – really feel this guy has what it takes to play in the premier league. hopefully also that little bit more to play for us.

gooner1981

Good to see one of our most promising youngsters getting a loan with a premier league side! Hope he gets to play a good number of games.

Before the loans, our first team list looked pretty packed…. now with Sanogo, Akpom and Gnabry gone (and I’m guessing Campbell’ll follow them out, perhaps permanently), we’re left with Welbz, Sanchez, Giroud and Walcott as forwards. Should we be worried now that we have too few players in forward positions?

cygan

No – there is absolutely no need to be worried.

Hi-brid

I wouldn’t consider any of the players who have gone out on loan ready to provide an acceptable level of back up at this point in their development for a side with genuine title ambitions so, if we are light, then Wenger should sign another striker. Personally, I don’t think we are light as long as the array of supporting talent (Ox, Cazorla, Ramsey, etc.) chip in as we hope they will.

Harish P

Considering at closest, most of them would be third in line – they seem pretty acceptable.

Hi-brid

Acceptable as third choice means they won’t play much unless they go out on loan.

Merlin's Panini

If he can stay fit he’s got to be a starter for them every week. He’s got the lot.

n11gooner

Am I correct in remembering that it was gnabry who assisted cazorla against the spuds? If so he’s already a legend

shezdap

gnabry will play a lot of football in west Brom….. that’s for sure!

J Bird

I can’t see Gnabry walking into thier side. Which in a way will be a good test for him. He’ll have to prove himself in training and off the bench at first but if he makes it then it’s a sure sign of progression. Good luck Serge.

shezdap

our Carling cup squad ……. Ospina,, Chambars,, Gabriel,, Debuchy,, Gibbs,, Arteta,, Gideon. Z,, Chamberlain,, Rosicky,, Jeff Rein-Adelaide,, Alex Iwobi

shezdap

EPL squad= Cech,, Per,, Kosienly,, Bellerin,, Monreal,, CoQ,, Carzola,, Ramsey,, OziL,, SancheZ,, Theo. SUB= Ospina,, Gabriel,, Gibbs,, Debuchy,, Oxlade,, Arteta,, Giroud.

Hunter

Thanks for that, I was wondering who was in our squad these days

Stillmatic

Shadap, Shezdap.

Great move for serge. Say what you want about pulis, he’s one of the best managers out there. This is a great move for The Arsenal

Weng Gogh

My head agrees with you about Pulis, but… ugh. Can’t.. compliment…

Cracked

Best of luck to him, he looked really good two seasons ago. My worry is that his injuries have set him back too far, and the squad is just now too good for him to get a look in again

Tshaka the gooner

He won’t learn much from hoofball expert Tony Pulis. I am trying to convince myself that this is not the end of his arsenal career considering he’s carrying a bit of weight and there too many better players ahead of him. Nonetheless all the best to him

Bendtner's Ego

Apparently, you didn’t pay attention to the Crystal Palace reinvention under Pulis.

Look at what he did for Chamakh FFS! He took a down and out player with zero confidence and turned him into a deep lying forward / playmaker.

zeebee

Excuse my ignorance on the subject but are our players on loan allowed to play against us?

ontheup

They’re not. Jenks can’t play this weekend for instance.

rmpauden

Still have really high hopes for Serge. He and the Ox seem so similar and really excite me. Get ur form and fitness back this year and then tear it up for Arsenal next season pls
