Where is our shiny new toy? COYG!

Mexican Gunner

Form the point of view of a 12 year old? Or do you mean Elneny?

otamotpuos

No toy, and no coq..

Mr. G

Flamini-Ramsey again?!?!?! I’d hoped I’d seen the last of that dire partnership. Given how Southampton rolled us over last time we met (which included said midfield partnership) I am now quite worried about this one, especially as it’s a must-win game.

Poor management.

Luis Boa Muerte

Completely sick of this midfield it’s going to ruin our title chances if it sticks around much longer

Wenger's love child

That poor management is the best this club has ever seen. And we’re winning the league,(though I’d like the sight of a Coq warming up already) in Wenger I trust.

Kahn?Kanu!

Flamsey ;_;

iceberg10

Flimsey….

Joel Carter

Where the hell is Coquelin? The combination of Flamini and Ramsey in midfield has me worried.

Saint Cathorla

I imagine the manager is exercising a slow re-entry of the Coq, as to insert him too quickly could cause another quick and regrettable rupture.

Si Fox

How can Per be on the bench tonight?

SoqedHozi

Served his suspension in the cup, don’t want him exposed again.

Sonic Gunner

WTF is happening to Arteta?
When the going gets tough we need him to steady the midfield.

Easy tiger

No we don`t.

Sanchezy

Yes we do. Arteta maintains Arsenal’s tempo, his positional awareness is better the Flamini’s, accurate passing, maintains possession when needed and has a better and proven partnership with Ramsey (2013/2014). He’s still our captain and does lead by example on the pitch.

sauce

Good decisions re-metersacker, theo and ox

Gooneron

Tough game but we should manage tgis one especially at home

rossi88

Inside I’m like Ffs why is flamini starting, then I’m like hold on…I’m being harsh. But then I just come back to that feeling lol. But still COYG. Big 3 points needed!!

hank1979

I think this looks pretty solid. Campbell will track back as required. Important night tonight. Hope they realise they are on the verge

Johan

Strong bench. Hope Flamini proves everyone (including me) wrong in his selection.

DialSquareGoon

Coquelin should be starting in place of Flamini.

Same old Arsenal, always winning

Give him time to recover a bit!

Jeeez. Imagine he he played and had a set-back.

Cagooner

He’s either fit or he’s not. If he’s ready to be on the bench and come in at a critical juncture in the game, he’s ready to start. He should start. No doubt about it.

My name is Jeff

Not crazy about the Flamini selection. I know Coquelin and Elneny both played long minutes on Saturday, but was really looking forward to seeing how either one would link up with Ramsey.

Alexis The Beast Of London

How is per on the bench? Wasn’t it a straight red?!

Same old Arsenal, always winning

Yeah but it wasn’t deemed dangerous.

As it shouldn’t have been given there was ABSOLUTELY NO CONTACT but there you go.

Alexis The Beast Of London

Cool! Had no idea. COYG!!!

JB

Gabriel needs game time ahead of Barca. No way Per is going up against Messi & co

Joel Carter

To be fair I had exactly the same thought…

Erzengel

Was only a one-game domestic suspension

Diaby at his best

Coquelin????

Rectum_Spectrum

Time for Giroud to have one of his ‘oui, c’est moi’ nights. Know what I mean?

GunnerDareMacedonia

Like wengers decision, this big state on walcott, now he will now tha he needs to up his game in attack to start again because at the moment with alexis back cambell is in front of him and also he is consistent, it will be very dificult for him to win his place now, and remember welbz is coming back also. Also wenger always defendin player and defenden per but hi puting him on bench states that wenger its not fkunig around and know that the silly mistale per comitted could be decisive at winning the title, i like it.

Cagooner

Agreed. Hope Theo takes this as the kick up the arse that it is.

Man Manny

Flamini playing false 9 again? Thought Coquelin or Elneny will get the nod. Apart from that, I’m ok.

Paul

Excited COYG!

GunnerDareMacedonia

This is a big game you cant throw coq straight in, he was good against burnley but also 4-5 times he misplaced a pass which led to attacks from burnley, which if you do that agaibst soton you will be punished.he lacked sharpness but he will get there it’s too fast for him to pla 2 games in 3 day, he will start this weekend and will cement his place,

Mark

I can understand Wenger not wanting to risk Coquelin to start after playing 70 minutes or so on Saturday (esp after what happened to Rosicky), but where is Elneny, he didn’t even make the bench? I just hope he brings Coquelin on early in the 2nd half as Flamini/Ramsey scares the hell out of me against SH (any team really).

Good to see Gabriel in there.

Indian Gooner

Why stick with Flamini?Fucking Christ.
Where the hell on earth is El neny?

prash gooner

Yeah!!!I thought the game against chelsea was his last game in an arsenal shirt..Lol! , also since wenger started elneny las game wit coq bak again….ridiculous.Hope he proves us wrong today..

Lurd Ishanovic

Where is elneny. Wenger and his funny ways

Petits Handbag

Bring in Coq and it may be our best team. Time for Gabriel to step up now, same with Joel. They’ve both been good this season but I’m hoping they both have another level.

AP

If Coq isnt starting im sure theres a good reason. I’d sooner have Flamini than Coq for one game only to have him injured for 10. Rome wasnt built in a day. Be patient.

iceberg10

But Coventry was blitzed in an hour….

He's got no hair but we don't care...

No Coq? Seriously? Unless he’s carrying a knock this is a pathetically stupid and naive decision by the manager.

Gar14

Or you could be wrong…

ger

Freakin devastated.
Flamini has had his day………….Coq, Elneny, Chambers, all available…..WTF?

Bash

Not thrilled to see Flamini-Ramsey in midfield, but with Coq and Alexis coming back from injury (not to mention Gabriel’s slight rust from being on the bench a lot recently), I think it was a choice between which one to start again a sharp Southampton team. If Southampton play their high pressing game, Alexis could do some damage on the counter.

Trez

Predictable lineup…lets hope we win this one.
Don’t know why elneny isn’t on the bench. I would’ve put him instead of chambers.
Flamini starting is a disaster waiting to happen. Lets hope he screws his head straight.

SB

Damn I thought this match was televised in England!

ciderman

Oh my days what is Wenger thinking? My fear is this title bid will be over sooner rather than later!!!

Samual Tang

The midfield pairing is a disaster waiting to happen again. Ramsey has been more of a problem than a solution this season. He’s all over the field, full of energy but his passing and decision making have been poor more often than not. He actually gets in the way of Ozil and with Sanchez back, he will get in his way as well, all the while forgetting his defensive responsibilities. He should join Walcott on the bench to ponder their lack of concentration. Coq and Flamini with Elneny on the bench would be my pairing but Wenger logic always rules… Read more »

Alexstratz

So El Neny is too tired or injured?

ciderman

Oh my days, could it be worse, spuds are winning!!!

ciderman

Oh boy, city are winning!!! Need to get the points to keep up!!!

Alexstratz

We are so bad with Flamini.

ciderman

Our goal difference against that of spuds and city don’t make for pleasant viewing!! Getting worse tonight too!!!

Die Hard Gooner

our passing is just awful. Oh how i miss santi.

ciderman

Half time scores not good – manure, city and spuds winning!!!

lanre

That has been my worry for a while now. Spurs have been playing very good football, banging in goals while we seemed to implode though we had our injuries. But not anymore, we got players back from injury now but Arsense just keeps messing up his selections. Its going to hurt really bad if Spurs go on to mount a title challenge if we don’t get our act together.

Alexstratz

When does Cazorla come back to save us? We need him more than Coquelin.

He's got no hair but we don't care...

Our manager, like the legend has revolutionised football in this country but I’m afraid he’s taken us as far as he can…and although I love my might Gooner family, you who keep thumbing down any criticism of him are deluded and are happy to see a squad so very clearly capable of winning such a poor premier league, throw it away. Shame.
Ok, go ahead and thumb it down.

ciderman

A substitution is required coz we ain’t scoring any time soon!!!

ciderman

Not going to be our night… AGAIN… no title for us I’m afraid!!! Simply not good enough dropping points willy-nilly!!!

ciderman

Le coq coming on? We playing for a draw?!!!

Alexstratz

Time to lower my expectations.

Boilermaker Gunner

Title hopes over
Walcott was poor
He screwed up that chance

Pachvasilion

Yep, typical Arsenal. All the teams around them get victories, and what do they do? Drop points, yet again.

This might as well have been a loss, for all the good 1 point will do when everyone else got 3.

Title-winners? Yeah, and Arteta will win the Ballon d’Or this year.

More to the point, who here honestly believes Arsenal DESERVE to win the title this year, with all the bottling they’ve managed to pull off since Christmas?!?

Crew

How bad were we today? Ramsey especially just terrible. I said it before and i’ll say it again, If we don’t win the title this season Sanchez and co might be leaving. Already 5 points behind Leicester, 2 behind City and now Spurs are above us in GD.

Joblow

Tough game. the boys tried but just could not get through. 1 point is better than no points.
Sad to say but for a player who has 10 years with the club Walcott’s dribbling, control and movement with someone on his back is appalling.
Hard luck but time to build from the ground and win this league!
Gunners 4 life!!

PTAFC

Familiar failings come to the fore. Wenger out….let’s face if he can’t win the league this year he never will. Must be nice to have a job with no pressure
