Arsenal confirm deal for Cohen Bramall

Arsenal have confirmed that Cohen Bramall has signed from non-league side Hednesford Town.

The 20-year-old left-back was spotted by Gunners scouts while plying his trade in the seventh tier of English football and moves to the Emirates after impressing during a recent trial.

Bramall, who was recently made redundant from a job working at a Bentley factory, will gain experience with the Gunners under-23s with a view to providing long-term back up to Nacho Monreal and Kieran Gibbs.

Good luck to the kid. It’s a huge step up.

Welcome Bra……

lonsdale

Surely he’ll be known as Cohen the Barbarian?

Yorkshire Gunner

Love it

Please just confirm this is an intentional Discworld reference – if so this is a legendary comment

Seems so strange this Winter not to have any expectation of transfer activity by Wenger, can’t remember the last Winter that there was not an expectation of Wenger trying to bring someone in (whether he did or not is a different story of course).

I would only want someone in if they are in the sanchez ozil cazorla quality

So true, I keep forgetting the window is even open!

Pavlos

I still wouldnt be surprised if we got one similar to the Källström deal done tho. just to cover up in central midfield

Good luck to the lad! A real life ‘Journey mode’ on FIFA. Hopefully see him in action when here in Australia for the July tour!

Welcome to The Arsenal, Bramall. An inspiring story of humble roots to the bright lights of the PL. Exciting talent! I hope he makes it with us.

Yet more proof of how unfocused the club has become. What’s the use of purchasing some one that has little to no chance of ever playing for the senior team in the nearest future and making a big deal out of it when your competition is buying players to win things. SMH!

Savage

Everybody is making a big deal of it. SkySports, BBC. It’s a great story.

And you haven’t even seen him play, so you have NO idea how good he is or what his potential is.

Ross

You do realise that signing this guy doesn’t stop the club signing anyone else if they wish….

Bill

I’m not sure why your upset with bringing in a young talent in the hopes he can so something in the future. I am also pretty sure that there is no real fan fare about this, just mentioning it.

Vescucci

It’s a different thing to see your dreams come true. It’s quite something else to see a dream you didn’t even dare to dream come true like this. Good luck to Bramall

Ppppp

So funny that he used to work in a Bentley factory.

Savage

Bellerin mark II?

rrrggggg

This is the best car related Arsenal story since Dennis Bergkamp stopped for petrol on the way home.

Oh and when Bendtner did that… other thing.

Yorkshire Gunner

Not a marquee signing by any means, but still an important one, I can only wish him the best, and hope to see him and hector tearing up the flanks for years to come

Mike

Fair fucks to the lad. Hope he makes the grade.

lollo

He`s played for me at 7 a side , and I tell you this .. he`s `rapid and full of confidence ,, Wont be long before you see a lot of him
