Gilberto: The players have to give more

While the spotlight remains firmly trained on Arsene Wenger, former Gunner Gilberto Silva says the players need to do more to arrest the club’s worrying slump in form.

The Invincibles midfielder said that everyone needs to work together, and that includes the men on the pitch who haven’t been performing to their potential.

He has urged them to repay the faith shown in them by the Frenchman.

“The players could do something more,” he said.

“Sometimes, if you look outside, we can see everything we want. But the only thing for me, seeing from outside, is it’s time for everyone to give their support for the man who believed in them.

“It is up to them to believe. I’m sure there is a quality there, that’s why they are at the club. He stuck with them because he believed in them from the first day he signed those players.

“I hope they can find a way to cross this line and to release a little pressure.”

The Gunners face West Brom early this afternoon, looking for a vital Premier League win and three points to help close to the gap on the top four.

We currently sit 5 points off the Champions League spaces, but with two games in hand.

Heavenly Chapecoense

Wenger took the armband from him and gave to Gallas who is always telling media Mourinho is a better coach than Wenger.

Alex

OK, when Wenger throws three changes at the same time against Bayern at home, something he never does, without replacing the red carded Kos, this is not simplifying the task of the above mentioned players. For example…

Tony The Pimp

Agreed with JazzyFizzle – very under rated player.
Puts the likes of Coquelin and Xhaka to shame.
When he pulled that shirt on you knew he was playing for it and not the pay packet.
Still, the manager takes responsibility must take responsibility for the teams lack of form – he won’t of course because it is always someone else’s fault…

I think we should be telling everyone not associated with the club i.e. media and so called experts to STFU! What has it got o do with them? Obviously not anyone who loves Arsenal.
