Arsenal’s Twitter show it as a back four, though I can’t remember if they did the same for the City game when Coq wound up in a back three.
Hehe with Wenger these days you never know! Coq or Elneny might just slip into that back line.

Why not, he started strongly maybe its fatigue. It doesn’t mean he is rubbish, just needs to regain that confidence and form. But quality never disappears completely.

Niles not in the team and Kolasinac starts, that means Niles will start vs Pool.
I don’t know what to think he was great vs Soton and Newcastle but 1 vs 1 against salah in form of his life even the best natural LB at the moment against him would be roasted. Hopes he gets all the help on Friday.
ANM will pocket Salah on Friday and throw the key in the Dead Sea.

There’s also the possibility of Koscielny – Mustafi CB partnership, with Monreal on the left. Actually I think this is the formation he’ll go for.

Chambers has been looking good! Team maybe lacks a little bit of creativity but that could be an opportunity for Willock to shine! COYG!

I agree. With all of the mesmeric talent coming from France at the moment, it’s about time we had our own little French maestro again.
Does anybody else think the fact that we don’t have one of these lads playing for us shows how out of touch Wenger is in the transfer market. 10 years ago we would have had one or two of them
i dont think he is out of touch, in fact i think its the opposite, every other team has come in to touch. now even small teams like palace and Leicester can pick up good young french players because of how informed the lay man is now let alone a premier league scout.

Looks like an opportunity for one of Elneny, Coquelin or Willock to play at the adanced tip of the midfield triangle. Without Wilshere or Ozil there is a slight lack of creativity, but that also means there’s an opportunity for somebody to seize it.
What channel is the game on tonight?
Would’ve liked to see Nelson or Jeff in behind the striker pulling the strings..not enough creativity in the midfield.
Giroud with his dinks and shimmies will provide the creativity and Walcott will provide the magic with his disappearing act!
That midfield! I hope the Willock Factor will bring some excitement. This “Europa” team has been consistent in serving up bland, forgettable football; not that the A team bar Özil has been better of late anyway. Just a frustrating time to be an Arsenal fan. Meanwhile, I hope we send Klopp and Ox back empty handed on Friday.

Everyone playing ok -midfield control- but as suspected lacking creativity. So far Chambers has looked pretty classy.
This has been a very good performance. I’ve been very impressed with the pace going forward and the collective defensive work. If the 1st 11 could only play like this week in week out
The defensive work and game management has been unusually superb, really impressive. The question is whether it is possible to keep this while having more bravado going forward.
