Aaron Ramsey to have ‘small procedure’ during Interlull

According to Wales manager Ryan Giggs, Aaron Ramsey is to undergo a ‘small procedure‘ during the international break, ruling him out of the Wales squad for the upcoming China Cup (a tournament with China, Wales, Czech Republic and Uruguay).

There don’t appear to be any more details of what exactly that will entail, but the 27 year old was in full training yesterday ahead of the Europa League clash with AC Milan at the Emirates.

Ramsey was, however, rested from the squad completely between the two legs, taking no part in the 3-0 win over Watford on Sunday – and it seems he’s being nursed through this particular period so as not to aggravate anything further.

The midfielder has 7 goals and 8 assists from 22 appearances this season, but he did miss a substantial chunk of the campaign due to a hamstring strain and subsequent muscular niggles.

Fingers crossed it’s nothing too serious, because any chances we have of winning the Europa League would be greatly diminished by his absence.

Never like to hear a player has an injury problem but at least Arsenal & Ramsey seem to be handling it properly & also putting club before country!!

Captain Khan

Easier to put club before country considering that Wales aren’t in the world cup.

V is for Vic Akers

About time too and just like g*gs did his entire career.

N8Gooner

Am I the only one that feels nervous at the words ‘small procedure’?

Mayor McCheese

I had a small procedure a few years ago, and now I shoot blanks.

bournegooner

I don’t think Rambo will have any problems shooting

Jacob

If he didn’t have these injury problems I’m convinced he’d be up there with the best box to box midfielders in Europe. Hopefully this is a step to avoiding more injuries in the future.

Bendtnerschristmastree

Probably our most consistent player this season along with Nacho. Hope it’s nothing serious.

Wrightly

Sent our dog off for a “small procedure” and he now looks at me with pain in his eyes.

lonappan

We are the opposite of Man City. Their ‘large surgery’ injuries return within a week. Our ‘small procedure’ might-be-cough problems take 6 weeks to recover. :/ fingers crossed for Ramsey

Shank

I fucking refuse to acknowledge anything that comes out of that pricks mouth, and that goes for anyone who was ever connected with that bunch of twats, who are now reaping their deserved rewards of the Mourinho narcissistic disfunctionality.

Fingers crosses this is just one of those excuses that Giggs used to give in his playing days for not turning up for Wales friendlies…

Full metal gooner

Rested between the two legs, no sex for Rambo then? Guess that also answers what the “small procedure” will be on..

Will Rambo be out for the rest of the season post-surgery…?

Ramsey has become an important fixture one again, am glad for the lad. I’ve always liked Aaron and I believe in his all round qualities thanks to that great stamina of his. He became the scapegoat a little too often for my liking, from people that don’t understand, how it’s, a set of instructions he’s played by. He is not a CDM, nor is his main criteria to make the CB’s job more comfortable, he can help in those matters from time but he has his own forte to look after. Ramsey has always been one of Arsenal’s better players,… Read more »

Travel all the way to China for a meaningless friendly, and be managed by Ryan F… ing Giggs? Or pull a sicky? The choice is yours Aaron.
I expect the small procedure amounts to a beard trim and some highlights.

henry

would be happy if i never saw Ramsey in an Arsenal shirt again
