Bit surprising that Mustafi starts but, otherwise, no complaints tbh

Why play sokratis on thursday and mustafi today? Papa could’ve handled mitrovic fairly well. Mustafi will have a real challenge today. Let’s get the 9th.

Mustafi has been excellent today

No Sokratis, Auba, Ozil or Ramsey? This seems quite a weakened side?

Richie

Fulham are missing an entire back 4 (FosuMensah, Chambers, Mawson, Bryan) so we have no excuses.

Ramsey already being put out to pasture so to speak.

His wife gave birth to twins this week so I guess he hasn’t trained properly due to this and that’s all.

If only he could come in and score twice.

But then the twins might die? (bergkamp forbid)

You’d hope Sokratis is just being rested. Those ‘dead legs’ can linger. Give him a two week break to recover and come back fully fresh.

Berlingoon
Berlingoon

he won’t have a 2 week break as he’s a greece international.

Is Ózil ill again? As he’ll have two weeks off, I expected to see him today..

He needs a Lemsip sponsorship deal

Apparently his back this time, but cold seasons looming

Özil shouldn’t have touched that cat. Catched a virus straight away.

According to the Beeb he has a “back spasm”.

Always something. He’s made of glass

I don’t get all the thumbs down tbh. I wouldn’t say glass because he’s not let’s say Arjen Robben. That would be ‘class but glass’ category. But I agree that for the status he has in football overall, at the club and wage ladder all these lil absences is starting to get to me as well. It’s been happening for a while now.

Also I think he was shit overall when he came on last Thu, wouldn’t surprised me one bit that Emery just sacked him for this one.

Now come on Arsenal!!!

probably from bowing down to the cat.

I hear it was a 0.1mm papercut on his left pinky, he’ll likely miss the next 3 months and will be recovering somewhere with better weather.
This guy really is a waste of money

I was sort of hoping to see the back of Mr. Shokdran with Holding now starting to play really well. SMH.

Nonetheless let’s make it 9 in a row Gunners. COYG.

I got told I didn’t understand football when I said we’d have to choose out of lacazette+ Aubameyang, and we’d be better starting two out of Iwobi, Welbeck, Mkhitaryan wide.

Looks like Emery now agrees, I thought he would bottle it today in an attempt to manage egos.
But again he’s proving himself to be a very brave and decisive manager

Ozil not even on the bench? Good fodder for the journos. It is a bit surprising tbh, and fingers crossed we don’t need his creativity in case we are down by a goal and Fulham decides to park the bus. Otherwise not many complaints with this team. Everyone starting in their natural positions…just wish it was Sokratis instead of Mustafi. I just fail to see how Mustafi keeps starting all the important matches in place of either Big Papa or even Holding!

Couple of strange picks there, let’s hope the guvna knows what he’s doing

Question for you guys…in the Arsenal video of the players arriving at Craven Cottage, I saw Emil Smith Rowe with them but he’s not in the squad? I know Fulham is a local trip but is this normal maybe with youngsters on the cusp of the first team?

asda

I guess you always have to take more players than in the squad in the case of someone getting injured in the warm-up.

Hantal
Hantal

They also take any players who want to come

Richie

I guess just in case someone gets injured in the warm up . Elneny and a third goalkeeper are probably there too.

Milky

The team will usually bring a few back up players in case anyone gets injured during the warm up etc

Big chance for iwobi and mykhi today hope they take it

Shouldn’t the Cat be at least on the bench after proving its quality in Baku? What must the cat do to get its first nod in the premier league?

Has anyone heard why Ozil is not in the lineup? I can’t think it’s because he prefers being left out. If he’s ill again, he must have a genuinely frail immune system.
