Disappointing after coming back to 2 one up.

Would have loved to have been on a winning run coming into Liverpool.

Though we need to make a good start for a change.

The players looked tired, the three games in a week have taken their toll I think. Difficult without proper fullbacks, I hope they’re back before the weekend or it’s going to be tougher against Liverpool. I’d like to see Sokratis start if he’s fit, instead of Mustafi. If the ref had given the foul for Rob Holding having his shirt ripped to shreds there would have been no goal, and the dive from xaha was a joke. We weren’t at our best, but the weird referee didn’t help. The pundits were all ecstatic that Arsenal didn’t win, the biased bunch of cunts, I hope we can regroup and give it a real go at home next weekend.

Arsenal have so far played 8 games against teams that were also in the Premier League last season, with the same number of points (last season’s result in parentheses):

Man City (H) 0-2 (0-3) Points more/less than last campaign: 0
Chelsea (A) 3-2 (0-0) Points more/less than last campaign: -1
West Ham (H) 3-1 (4-1) Points more/less than last campaign: 0
Necastle (A) 1-2 (2-1) Points more/less than last campaign: 3
Everton (H) 2-0 (5-1) Points more/less than last campaign: 0
Watford (H) 2-0 (3-0) Points more/less than last campaign: 0
Leicester (H) 3-1 (4-3) Points more/less than last campaign: 0
Crystal Palace (A) 2-2 (2-3) Points more/less than last campaign: -2

These eight matches have brought 16 points, exactly as last season.

But the goal difference is better: Arsenal had +6 in the corresponding matches last season, against +8 now.

In addition, Arsenal have beaten newly promoted Fulham and Cardiff.

To sum up: There is a slight improvement, but there is still a lot to work on. Personally, I am also in doubt as whether we have the defence to fight for the title. They are clearly better instructed now than under Wenger, but can they reach the necessary level?
