Arsenal confirm full squad list for Europa League final

Arsenal have confirmed the full travelling squad for the Europa League final. We all know that Danny Welbeck has made the trip, but with 12 subs Unai Emery has brought along a 24 man squad with some young talented players too.

Here’s the full squad

Goalkeepers

Petr Cech, Bernd Leno, Deyan Iliev

Defenders

Ainsley Maitland-Niles, Carl Jenkinson, Stephan Lichtsteiner, Sokratis, Shkodran Mustafi, Laurent Koscielny, Nacho Monreal, Sead Kolasinac

Midfielders

Mesut Ozil, Granit Xhaka, Lucas Torreira, Matteo Guendouzi, Mohamed Elneny, Joe Willock

Forwards

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Alexandre Lacazette, Danny Welbeck, Eddie Nketiah, Alex Iwobi, Bukayo Saka, Xavier Amaechi

The boss will pick 23 for the game, with young keeper Iliev the most likely to be the odd man out.

It’s starting to get exciting now.

Can we put Chambers in the squad instead of Mustafi? UEFA has to give us something in return for ballsing up the loss of Miki

VAR will solve the problem

Seems like Kante is a major doubt for Chel$ea…now just need Hazard to leave his passport at home or in Madrid!

Mutisya

its not even hyperbole saying this is our biggest game in 14 years. The butterfly effect for this will be massive for the future of the club.

I sure do hope these group of players can muster a performance for the ages. No passengers for this game. Legends will be made here

poly

Surely 13 years max? We played Barca in the Champions League final in 2006.

Jesse

To me 2006 feels like 30 years ago rather than 13. 1 real year = 2 football years

Mutisya

ah yes. ofcourse

David C

still makes me sad…

John

To me 2010 feels like 10 years ago rather than 13. 1 real year = 2 football years

At the start of the season, if we were offered 5th place but only couple points from 3rd place, most would have considered it to be a good session. However with CL still a possibility via winning the EL, this is a season defining and an important title winning opportunity. This game however, inadvertently I’ve planned a trip and wouldn’t be able to watch it. Given, what’s riding on this game, it’s too much on this old heart to take and happy not to be watching. I wish the players all the very best, I’ll be refreshing this website for… Read more »

Agreed!

Down with the spuds

Give that guy a last appearance!!!

Hantal

I’d hoped Ramsay would be fit for one last outing but otherwise happy enough we have enough to get the win if everyone turns up

Lula

Wonder if Emery will do the most Emery-thing of all time and blindside everyone by playing Iliev in goal.

Hamma

Normally Miki should have been replaced.

Anne Noyd

I doubt it

Paul Roberts

He’s playing left wingback…:-)

Cheadle

You need your team to step up and end this CL holiday. Some history….. Three points against Palace, Everton, Leicester or Wolves during our “easy” run in and this game would have been an exhibition. Now it’s an All or Nothing game…. Perhaps this is just the way to make these guys demonstrate their desire to be back up there among the elite.

Santori

Same people going on about Jenkinson then Mavropanos now going on about Chambers.

There’s not sufficient evidence to conclude Chambers is a better option at the moment.

He needs further assessment in the summer (should he even want to stay on)

ChickenTonight

It’s less about the confidence people have in those players and has more to do with wanting anything othen than Mustafi.
