Bellerin picks up hamstring problem

Hector Bellerin is likely to miss tomorrow’s game with Frankfurt after picking up a hamstring injury.

At this point, the club’s medical team say the player has a ‘tight’ hamstring, so at least it’s not a pull or a tear.

That said, having worked his way back from a long-term spell on the sidelines after ACL surgery, the news will come as a blow to the right-back.

Calum Chambers and Ainsley Maitland-Niles can offer cover.

Sead Kolasinac and Dani Ceballos are also out with hamstring problems. Like Bellerin, it’s a tight one for the Bosnian who’ll likely miss out tomorrow.

Our on loan Spanish midfielder isn’t due to return until mid-December; that’s another six weeks away.

‘Our on loan Spanish midfielder isn’t due to return until mid-December; that’s another six weeks away.’ – either it’s 2 weeks away from a mid Dec come back or it is 6 weeks away from a mid-January come back

GYWE

Mid-December is three weeks away, or are we working to the Arsenal Injuryian Calendar now?

Waiting patiently for the #EmeryOut story…get well soon Hector. May your recovery be as speedy as your runs down the wing.

Johnny

Why tf is there no sack news wtf?? !!!***

lovely_arse

My guess is they want the replacement in the bag before they announce. Shouldn’t though. Freddie can do it for a week or two.

OdalGooner

Get well soon, Hector!

baluku

I check this page every 2 hours to see if there a story like “EMERY IS GONE”. Instead, it’s our Hector who’s injured. Get well quickly boy.

The Voice of the Noise

Sigh.. I was just beginning to enjoy seeing his raids down the flank again.
Hopefully he’s back soon!

Is Lichsteiner available ……….. I love him , if only for the Mad head on him

jabb

more signs that Emery doesn’t belong at the club. When we’re not playing our best the players who could offer more are getting injured

oldboygunner

Can’t say I’m disappointed. Since returning from injury, his performances have been woeful.

Gutbukkit Deffrolla

Emery had everybody else playing woefully before his comeback. Is it any wonder he’s not been performing the way he used to. I doubt if he’s been allowed to.

Davy boy

The guys been out for a year. Can’t expect too much from him too soon.

John

Ainsley Maitland-Niles – I forgot about him.

This is further complication we really don’t need. I mentioned last match Tierney had more output on his flank than Bellerin. Perhaps it was because Hector wasn’t 100% We have plenty of natural pace on either flank with Tierney/Kolasinac and Auba/Martinelli on left flank, Pepe and Bellerin (not to mention Nelson) on the right. BUT Unai has not found a solution to use us to our strengths. Our transitions (and now without Granit) have been too slow. Too many touches and passes to get to our players out wide. We are unprepared to break out when defending set pieces as… Read more »
