Arsenal Women Team News: Nobbs and Iwabuchi start

Jordan Nobbs starts with Kim Little and Lia Walti in midfield with Mana Iwabuchi and Beth Mead either side of Vivianne Miedema upfront. Simone Boye partners Jen Beattie in central defence.

Katie McCabe starts at left back but is one booking away from a suspension. Leah Williamson and Tobin Heath are injured, Steph Catley, Caitlin Foord and Lydia Williams are away with Australia while Nikita Parris is not in the squad, presumably due to COVID.

I have to say, the Women’s team hasn’t looked good for a few games now, and has got away with it a couple of times.


Hope this is not us unraveling at this point in the season. It would kill me for Chelsea to leapfrog us to the title this season. I effing hate that club.

We really need to beat them on their turf now I’m not sure even a draw will be enough but shall we have enough players? There were no forward options on the bench today and the bare minimum cover for the rest of the field.
