Change of date announced for Arsenal’s Premier League clash with Burnley

Arsenal’s Premier League clash with Burnley has been moved to Sunday January 23rd, with a kick-off time of 14.00.

It was originally scheduled to take place at 3pm on January 22nd, but because of the postponement of the Carabao Cup semi-final first leg against Liverpool – now taking place on Thursday January 20th, this game has been rescheduled.

The late nature of the date change will leave many fans who have arranged travel, flights, hotels etc, severely disrupted, and while these are extraordinary times and circumstances, it’s another huge disappointment for affected supporters.

The Gunners are still awaiting confirmation on when the postponed games against Wolves and Chelsea will take place.

Fixture congestion is piling up.

Unless Liverpool would like us to change that as well in case it impacts their season

Joseph Croft

Not to mention the postponed Arsenal Liverpool home league game due to be end of Feb – due to the Carabao final that one of us will be in…

Dmitri

Which/when was the Chelsea match postponed?

Nainsley Aitland Miles

Postponed because Chelsea are playing in the FIFA Club World Cup.

TeeCee

Is the jury still out on whether that’s a better or worse excuse than coronavirus?

Glenn

It was scheduled to be on Feb 12th, but Chelsea will be playing in the club world cup that weekend.

GoldenbootKane

By then Arsenal will be well and truly out of top-4 contention. Harry Kane he’s coming for you!

Karol Chren
Daveo

Mind if I borrow this?

Alan Sunderland

Don’t see Harry’s golden boot in there, or the putting the pressure on Leicester trophy.

C.B.

Kane is someone not old enough to have seen Sp*rs win an FA Cup!

And the vast majority of the population won’t have seen them win the league! (And neither of Kane’s parents are old enough…)

30 and 60 years ago respectively…

Partey time

He is coming for us but staying in the conference league lol..😂😂😂😂

Arsepedant

Not even staying in that, Spurms got kicked out of it.

santishaun

You seem to have alot of time to make comments on this site. Do you not have a viable team to support spitty?

Dada

Wow

Graeb

At least you’re honest enough as a troll unlike the wind-up merchants who regularly appear under the guise of Gooners. Just remember, your last League champions team was nearer to the reign of Queen Victoria than today😉

Anthony

😂😂😂

TeeCee

The only thing Harry Kane is coming for is his own right hand.

Des Lynam

We’ve won the league at your ground more than you have.
That is all.

DialSquareGoon

Speaks to how successful Arseblog is that tater tot clowns feel compelled to come on here with pathetic troll attempts! I’ve no clue or care about what spud blogs exist. They are irrelevant.

onenil

How did it go against Chelsea tonight?
That’s a shame

Troll cunt

Chipsbradytime

Did you really bother to set up an account on this site just to troll Arsenal? Wow, truly sad! Good show by Kane against Chelsea today. They say the brill cream doesn’t help with his meds.

C.B.

He helped unite us all…

ParteyPants

Footballers with more winners medals than Harry Kane:

  1. Igors Stepanovs
  2. Eddie Nketiah
  3. Joe Willock
  4. Matt Smith
  5. Jeremie Aliadiere
  6. Christopher Wreh
  7. Shkodran Mustafi
  8. Yaya Sanogo
  9. Gabriel Paulista
  10. David Ospina
  11. Sead Kolasinac

We’re quaking in our boots.

snagglepuss

so what happens if our players get covid by the rearranged dates then ffs?

Nainsley Aitland Miles

The EFL will force us to field Arteta, Edu, Mertesacker, Wilshire, Vinai, a few players from the women’s team, and Stan and John Kroenke as rush goalies.

Woolwich Tiern time

Not the worst team… kets see what vinai can do

Here we gooooo, Saka and Vinai Venkatesham.

Non flying dutchman

Dah Dah Dah Dah Ven-ka-te-sham

Anthony

Can we bring back Pires, Henry and Campbell too?

Belfast Gooner

I think this is an awful decision which doesn’t take the match going fan into account.
I travel from Belfast 4-5 times a season. Its something I really look forward too. Family circumstances dictate that I need to go and come back on the same day.
Therefore I only chose matches which mean I can fit same day flights into. What about people who will lose their flights and can’t transfer them to the next day?
Are the PL or Liverpool going to cover these costs? I think we all know the answer to that.

Granit(e) hard!

This is getting ridiculous now, why wouldn’t they just cancel one of the stupid 2 legged carabao semi finals and make everyone’s life easier ffs?

Henkamp

$$$$

Billy bob

Can I just say, I loathe Liverpool FC

Ashburton Red

FFS !!!
fuck Liverpool, I just hope we batter them when we eventually play

I don’t see any reason why the re-arranged Liverpool tie couldn’t be played on Wednesday 19th – instead of the 20th – thus eliminating the need to move this Burnley fixture.

TommyGunnerz

Just liked your comment as I agree. Bit too sensible a suggestion though. Also, TV rights…
Meh.

Daveo

You’re just not thinking hard enough mate. If it was on Wednesday, it would more convenient for Arsenal.

Woolwich Tiern time

Why the hell are we being so accomodating even whilst the FA are charging us for protesting the insane ineptitude of their employee?

Magneto

We try to show as much class as possible as often as possible, although we don’t always get it right. We probably have this time though.

Billy bob

Gaz B

On the bright side, a good year not to have european fixtures piling up along with everything else I suppose!

zeke60

What’s all the fuss about fixture congestion? Hasn’t anyone taken a look at the calendar? There are so many gaps in our remaining schedule that we should be happy about these rescheduled games. That’s what happens with no European matches on the horizon for us.
