Don’t understand why we don’t give that game time to Tavares as he can play on both sides. He was good enough to keep Tierney out of the first 11 for some weeks but is behind Cedric in the pecking order? Strange.

Cedric is like a white shirt that looks alright until its kept side by side with an immaculate white shirt.
He does put in a decent shift when called on. But when compared to Tomiyasu, he looks poor.
we played tavares at rb at one point earlier in the season, and i would choose that over cedric any day personally.
At least we have no Adama Traore to deal with. Hope we’ll see the AFCON Pepe as a supersub. COYG!!
Would have loved Tomi in the team obviously, but given how Partey’s rushed return ended last season I think it’s best if Tomi gets more recovery time. Hopefully Cedric deputises well for him.

People downvoting the idea of Sambi playing ahead of Xhaka, what a joke!
There are a lot of things about Xhaka and his game to get frustrated about, more so than Samni’s I’d say. Even so, I’d say Xhaka and Partey have been the best combination in mid this season by a distance. Partey was generally disappointing next to Sambi in a way that he’s rarely been next to Xhaka. The solution to Xhaka does not seem to be Sambi, at least not for a while.
Partey was poor an a lot of games alongside Xhaka too, this logic is spurious association at best.
It’s not logic, it’s an assessment that is based on observation.

Think of a young infinitely more likable Rio Ferdinand and you won’t be far wrong.
He’s a tall elegant ball playing centre back with an excellent passing range. He’s also been playing in midfield in some recent Under 23s games. Very relaxed on the ball (sometimes a little to relaxed.but he’ll improve that with experience)

Honestly thought the Wolves bench was made up. Hoever (whoever) was a big giveaway but Cundle was the obvious one.
I’d about 100% have rather seen Chambers on the right than Cedric, but obviously, not an option now. Even Tavares might have been better.

Cedric is so terrible defensively. Partey will have his work cut out and the opposition will try to either isolate Xhaka 1v1 if Partey is on the flank or if Partey needs to cover the channel, then White will be distracted enough to miss a third man run or curved runs in behind him
