Salah-Eddine determined to impress in pre-season

It is expected that a host of Arsenal youngsters will be afforded opportunities to impress in the early stages of pre-season, with Salah-Eddine among the prospects determined to make an impact.

After an injury ravaged first campaign at the club, last season was considerably better for Salah-Eddine, who established himself as a key figure for the U23s and also got on the bench for the first-team.

In addition to having excellent technique, Salah-Eddine is also prepared to work hard defensively and the 18-year-old won’t be fazed by the demands of senior football.

Usually deployed as a central midfielder, he is also capable of making an impact as a winger and can be especially effective when cutting in from the right flank.

Salah-Eddine isn’t afraid to go for goal from distance or from difficult angles and while not everything he tries comes to fruition, he is often a very entertaining player to watch.

The problem that Salah-Eddine faces is that competition for places among young midfielders at Arsenal is fierce, with Charlie Patino and Miguel Azeez also part of the group that has been training with the first-team in the early stages of pre-season.

Salah-Eddine will be determined to make an impact, though, and he certainly has the qualities to fulfil that objective.

One Beat Off

What a great problem to have. The likes of Salah-Eddine, Patino, Flores, Azeez all pushing for places. A few will likely feature in Europe if they don’t go out on loan. The future is exciting.

And there’s Omari Hutchison, reiss Nelson is still U-23 and kido Hart for the flanks… was scared raphinha would take away their minutes… after all we have Europa League to thank for saka,Smith Rowe et Al……

I actually believe this guy has a higher ceiling than Patino and Azeez. He is pretty skilled and entertaining. Makes space for himself and can shoot from distance. Cannot wait to see him in action
