Jordan Nobbs starts, Arsenal Women team news v Leicester

Jordan Nobbs starts in midfield and captains the side as Arsenal play away at Leicester in the WSL this afternoon. She comes in with Kim Little sidelined with a knee injury.

Vivianne Miedema is rested so Frida Maanum continues ahead of her in midfield with Lia Walti in the deeper role. Laura Wienroither comes in at right-back with Wubben-Moy, Catley and McCabe completing the back four.

Beth Mead and Caitlin Foord flank Stina Blackstenius in the forward line. There are four academy players yet to play for the first team on a young bench for Jonas Eidevall’s side.

I like the balance of that lineup. I would to see Agyemang come on at some point, simply because I’ve never seen her play, but kept seeing her alongside main team players in pre-season. I want to see what she’s got

She got some minutes, hopefully, not at the expense of another serious injury.
For a 16 year old she looks a powerful athlete who is quite prepared to get “stuck in”
