ESR returns, let’s go! Super excited to see talent in depth for this squad, title tilt isn’t over til it’s over, COYG!

Turad

Hell yeah brother! Super stoked for Emile to get back on the pitch.

EastLondonGooner

Let’s get back to winning ways!

Man Manny

No Partey, no problem.
The bench looks strong and capable of changing things if needed.
We will win this, I feel.
COYG!!!

Aleksander Włodarz

Hopefully the good early afternoon will be even better than the Good Ebening 🙏

Mathew

Happy to see trossad starts

Kunz

Let’s go get the three points!

Anders Limpar

For all the leaps and bounds Eddie has made this season the lack of a quality back up or even just some competition to keep Eddie on his toes is really starting to show. If ever a player needed rotating it’s him.

Nketibag

I don’t get why we never see Martinelli rotated up front. He broke through as a cf with Emery and was lethal there.

Sakatatties

Yeah. Good decision letting Flo go out on loan to get this great season under his belt but we will need him next year.

We really need Jesus to come back and save us soon

Brady’s bunch

He’ll rise again at Easter

PeteyB

I guess with him not starting Martinelli is an option from the bench.
Side note, I think I would have let Tomi start today, get him back on the horse quick after a shaky day mid week. Anyway, lets go!

Yves

Strong starting 11, if we have a hard time breaking down Villa, I will like to see Martinelli come on for Nketiah.
COYG

Bigsam

Let the game begins, Eddie might just have a good game.

He’s got no hair but we don’t care...

Finally, Trossard in for Martinelli. COYG!!!

Boy Bastin

It’s worth a try. You can’t fault Arteta for shuffling the pack as best he can. He also has ESR.

Villa won’t be a pushover though so we’ll need to find that missing “spark” today, one way or another.

He’s got no hair but we don’t care...

Absolutely. & Zinchenko has started this half just as bad. Get Tierney on!

Fuzz

Stay healthy ESR – we need you from now on

Grimmjow

I really wish Tierney could get a game

P.D.

Sadly, I think there’s zero chance of him hanging around this summer & you couldn’t blame him. I know he’s not as strong as Zinny in the way Arteta wants his left back to play but it seems extraordinary that we can’t find a use for him, particularly as Zinny’s levels have dropped & he has been poor now for a few games.

Boy Bastin

It’s likely thaat there will be several sales (or departures, at least) this summer, particularly if Arteta/Edu intend to bring in more new faces.

Although I’d be sorry to see him go, Tierney may be one of those. If so, I hope we can get a fairly reasonable price for him, although his injury problems will be a big factor in any valuation.

Sakatatties

Agree that we should use Tierney, totally disagree Zinchenko has been poor

RockyRog58

As a defender Zinny is poor + Tierney’s will to win is stronger imho

P.D.

He has been rubbish 1st half today that’s for sure !

Billymac

Putting Tierney on would change things up a lot. I think the best pl e for him to go now is Liverpool. They would appreciate his talents a lot more.

Okey

Unpopular opinion but someone I am also excited to see is Reis Nelson. I have a sense he will spring a few surprises. I like the fact that he’s pacy and can run directly at opponents. I like the fact that , if given the opportunity to play, he will be hungry to prove a point and possibly earn a new contract (Just like Nketiah Last season) and if he shows anything close to what he did against Nottingham Forest and his lovely assist against Brighton before he got injured, it would be very welcome. All in all, I am… Read more »

StuArse

I am so keen for Nelson to step up. Something different to Saks on the left, taking on defenders round the outside. Hope it happens and he proves himself!
Come on guys, need the 3 points today!

Bigsam

Match prediction Aston villa 1 – 3 Arsenal

Leon

In fairness to Martinelli he has not been effective on the left wing for a period of time now and as a result Arsenal have suffered because of it.
Trossard will bring something else to the side and we need to get back on track.
We have had a slip but those around us are by no means immune to having one themselves so we need to step up a bit – now is the time to start using the squad and give the opposition something different to think about.

Ealing

Martinelli has also been one of our most used up players; he needed a pause to reflect, recuperate and go forward

Santi’s Thigh Grab

Smash them, that is all.

Boy Bastin

Good to see ESR on the bench. We’ll see how much playing time he gets after his long absence, but he may be the player to mix things up and get us out of this slump. Villa would be one of those potentially “tricky” games at the best of times but regardless of that Arsenal need all the points today and a good display if possible, if only to restore confidence after recent results. We can’t rely upon Forest to cause an upset although we can hope, “football’s a funny old game” etc., but our fate is still in our… Read more »

Martin

Watch Coutinho have his best ever game for Villa today.

Ricky

Well now you’ve gone and done it

Martin

Hadn’t scored since May last year. Standard he’s scored today, this team is breaking me.

Thierry Bergkamp (non negotiable)

3 points really needed. Hopefully the ref controls that thug McGinn, before he injures somebody

Boy Bastin

Yes, nothing less than three points will do really.

StuArse

Slow and ponderous start. We need to move the ball quicker and commit players.
Argh!!!

He’s got no hair but we don’t care...

Zinchenko has been costing us lately. Please play KT!!

RockyRog58

Zinchenko is either a full back or he’s not ! Too much hype & he’s believing he’s Messi !

Foreigngooner

Fickleness alert!

mrugunner

still the same strategy from arteta. 🙁

Deano

More and more mistakes, first Zinny thinking he’s Messi and secondly Xhaka letting the ball go straight through him. Some players are in a comfort zone.

Leon

Arsenal.
The team where struggling teams can regain their form and players who have done nothing for years can make a comeback.
I feel stupid in believing that Arsenal had in fact turned a corner and could be considered a top team again.
This month has revealed the real Arsenal.
The one we have known for years and years.
The only difference this year was that the purple patch was a little longer.

TotsOfJack

And there was a world cup in between to delay the inevitable.

¶aulson

Ricky

Good take…top of the league will do

FMT

Something seems broken in the heads of these lads. The manner with which we conceded the second goal is so I like how we have played all season.

We are way better than this Aston Villa side. We really need to believe in ourselves, talents and capabilities again!

Mentalista

It’s time to try something new. 3-2-5 isn’t working anymore. At least this time we have a strong attacking bench. COYG

Vieiraera

Can we all agree now that Nketiah is good but not good enough to win us the league?😡😡😡When is Jesus coming back ?

Leon

He is a good squad player but his poor finishing has cost Arsenal on more than one occasion – its not his fault but the club’s fault for taking a huge gamble on Jesus making it through the season without injury.
I think it is that one bad decision that will cost Arsenal so dearly.

Ealing

What a bad signing Jorginho was

Ealing

And the best thing is that Emi Martinez was responsible for our two goals …

SarcasmB0T

I always liked the man.

SarcasmB0T

We’ve won. Why do you feel the need to pick a fight with other fans?

jiggernaught

what an immensely stupid comment, even before Jorginho’s (Emi’s) goal. He’s been very good so far.

SarcasmB0T

I think it’s fair to say this one ended better than it started.
