Arsenal Women’s Danish midfielder Kathrine Kuhl has left the club to join AS Roma on a permanent deal, with the fee thought to be around 100,000 Euros.
Kuhl has struggled to break into the Arsenal team since joining in January 2023 and spent the second half of last season on loan at Everton, who were also interested in signing the player during this transfer window.
However, the Italian side, who are also owned by the Friedkein Group have managed to seal the deal. Kuhl made 27 appearances for Arsenal scoring one goal. Our understanding is that it is expected to be a quiet window for Arsenal, with maybe one player coming in and academy players going out on loan as things stand.
Roma finished behind Lyon and Wolfsburg in their Champions League group so they are not in the knockout stage.
Congratulations on your move, KMK. Wishing you a long and successful career from here on.
Real shame we never got to see more of her. Seems circumstances conspired against us taking too many risks in blooding new talent, and I’m not sure the club knew how to utilise her when they bought her with. Certainly she doesn’t strike me as classic ‘Jonas player’. Wish her all the best in the future!
