Jack Wilshere has confirmed that the operation undertaken on his injured ankle has been completed successfully, although Arsenal claim the midfielder’s rehabilitation period ‘will take a period of four to five months’. Should it take the latter it means that February is a realistic target for his first team return.
A cautious statement on Arsenal.com revealed that the England international was put under the knife by two of the world’s leading surgeons (neither of whom were this man) in a London hospital, while the player revealed on Twitter he would be monitored in hospital overnight.
“I’ve had my operation this morning and all went well,” said the 19-year-old. “My ankle is a little bit sore, but I’m already looking forward to working hard to get fit and playing again.
“I would also just like to say thanks for the many messages of support I have received from you – the fantastic Arsenal supporters. See you all soon at the Emirates.”
Arseblog News wishes Jack all the very best with his recovery and looks forward to him being ‘Almost Like A New Signing’ when he returns in the New Year. £5 says he’ll be back before Diaby. (Sorry Abou)
i guess he’ll at least be a good LANS
what luck
btw: if you need to be cheered up then check out Warnock calling Traore a disgrace. Excuse me, but thats hillarious!
I think its fair to say that selling Traore is a clear LANS..like i prefer that we sold him instead of signing someone else.
Its like that pair of underwear you hate but you always end up wearing at the end of the washing cycle…
Diaby…..the name does ring a bell but I’m buggered if I can place him at the moment.
I think Diaby is a place on the moon, but im not 100% sure, & i dont understand the relevance to wilshere’s return!!!!!
Nah mate, Diaby was that dream you once had. You remember don’t you, about that guy, i actually don’t think he’s a real person.
Awwww! Im just coming to terms with losing Wilshere for (a large part of) the season. Its not some sick joke afterall. I hope he comes back the same player we know. Get Well Soon Jack.
He may as well have had his leg severed, knee ligaments snapped, and ankle dislocated and smashed all at once, he would have been back quicker than February from when the injury occured. (June)
What an utter waste.
Dang! Double Dang!… From a glass half full perspective, it’s a great opportunity for Frimpong or Coquelin (sp?) to stake a claim…
Oh, on another note, i’m sure most Arses on here read other blogs as well… anyone notice how quick the ‘Wenger out’ blogs are at posting match analysis when we loose and how it takes them ages to put something out when we win?
Muppets…
Wenger Out. Sorry for the delay. (smiley face thing).
True that
Muppets indeed.
Arteta starting to look the part and Rambo growing with every game…not as gloomy as some plastics would av u think. Oh yea, and if our team is smaller and lighter in a bid to be more technical (like barca- the cunts) they are more likely to be injured aren’t they? I mean especially in our league where breaking someone’s leg is a skill. Just a thought.
I think I might be banned from Le Grove. I believe it’s the displays of reasonable argument, and a few choice words to the idiots (one in particular) that appear on there every day saying the same thoughtless negative shit. Those people and their hate campaigns are like a disease. They just don’t seem to think about things with a bit of perspective. Unfortunately it’s impossible to win arguments with idiots. I’m no AKB, I know Arsene has made some mistakes, but I do think he’s also probably the best person to get us out of the funk we’ve been… Read more »
Le Grove genuinely believes that Spurs are “a million miles” better than us and have more world class players than us. When I pointed out that they only have Modric and VdV (who I don’t think is WC but I decided to concede a point for the sake of avoiding an argument) while we have Szczesny, Sagna, Vermaelen, Song, Wilshere and RvP and arguably Arshavin with players like Koscielny and Arteta miles better than their counter parts at WHL, it was pointed out to me that Song isn’t anywhere near World Class, Defoe is an awesome player, King is WC… Read more »
Le Grove is packed jam full of prize cunts. Don’t bother wasting your time with their horse shit mate. Not worth it.
Top observation, is it because I noticed the same things as well? LOL I’m joking but you’re right….and I have a theory that it’s all these 5-6 year olds who throw tantrums when we lose and so their parents have them locked up in their rooms which leads to all the blogs getting updated and childish match reports and ‘analysis’. When we win on the other hand, they have to think of a way around the result and that takes time and unfortunately with our lack of consistency by the time they figure out what to write, we have a… Read more »
Hmmm.
When are football surgerys ever anything but a complete success straight after the surgery. Its not heart surgery or organ removal?
Unless the player dies or they cut of his foot surely its all successful?
The better question is…when will Almunia be back from walking his dog?
Big big blow. And remember in January we will be without: Song,Gervinho,Chamakh,Frimpong and WILSHERE auch!!!
To relay on Diaby to bi fit and and a teen Coq… or something like that is unbelivable.
Wenger must must buy someone in the January transfer window . M villa would be perfect but no chance as I see it. No offence but Wenger would rather lose all the games in January than killed Frimpong or Coquelin in their development proces.
song is not taking part of the african cup, cameroon didn’t qualify
We’ll stick have One Song mate. Cameroon are oot.
*still*
Thats some good news thanks for the info 🙂
We won’t be without Song. Cameroon didn’t qualify for ACN 🙂
oh… that’s been said twice already. sorry.
nah we will still have song, cameroon didn’t qualify (if you didn’t get that from the other posts)
Frimpong isn’t going to make the Ghanan team
I think he will.
i think to say a manger wld lose some games for d sucess of two players that he can easily replaced is farfetched.even swansea(no insult intended) wld stil fancy their chances against d likes of manure, chelshit nd d likes not to talk of a world class manager like wenger….get real.
Get well soon Jack The Man.
This is comptetely down to the medical treatment from the club. We are doomed! The club needs a complete overhaul. i
We need a new club!
I predict big changes after this disastrous season.
Is Na$ri still a cunt?
Do you have to ask follow your heart my brother 🙂
Or in Na$ri’s case a large pile of cash.
Wenger and the Board – OUT!
Not only have they brought a once great club to its knees, but they are also responsible for the Eurozone debt crisis, the Japanese tsunami and the continuous stock-outs of marks&spencers’ BBQ flavoured wheat snacks.
Right, where did I put my Bolton match report…
FFS… I wish a speedy recovery for Jack for the sake of the football club and more especially for him…
Get well soon Jack, see you next season!!!
Gervinhos forehead I was thinking exactly the same, some blogs *cough* gooner *cough* I only read now for a laugh at how depressed they all are, wanting us to lose games just to get rid of Wenger, or talking about how santos is the new Denilson (heaven forbid) so three cheers for Arseblog
JW19… I KNEW IT…. Second season malady. I guess he will be “well “just in life the semi finals of the CL ( say March 2012). He will also be in great condition for Euro2012 and Great Britian London 2012 football team. Like a new Signing. I am still puzzled that a 19 year boy who have spend 5 months, including the summer months was not able to heal. It does not bode well for the rest of his career. You should be able to heal quicker at 19/20yrs. Anyhow… I hope he takes his time, and not hurry. I… Read more »
Seeing as Diaby has had surgery, I suspect they found what was causing all the shit with his ankle and he’s supposed to just be a few weeks away now. I think it’s got to the point where there’s no point in bringing him back unless he’s really properly fit, as we hardly ever see him anyway. At least I hope that’s what’s going on. I reckon with a good run in the side he could finally become the player we thought he might be. His decision making would improve and perhaps he’d understand the worth of tracking back. There… Read more »
Good thing JW’s got the right DNA hey or he’d have been out for at least 6 months following a little knock. Oh… Ok
Perhaps look at those above Wenger. Yes he’s made some tactical howlers and if you’re holding accountable for that then fine but please remember Gazidis is at least equally accountable.
My thoughts exactly northern.
I reckon when he retires and his book comes out I reckon we will find out a lot about that mob. What exactly does gazidis do? His time to prove his worth was this summer and he fell on his arse. Hmmmm….
Northerngoon: too fucking right mate. He’s done jack all summer and pre-season apart from spout oily self-serving drivel. CEO? Arse.
When you said he’s “he’s done jack all summer and pre season ” I so misunderstood, especially because this article is about Jack.
well… that might explain a lot. heh.
When was the last season we didn’t loose a big player for a huge chunk of it? I’ve been expecting this since the outset, I’m surprised we even know now that his season will be in the stretch. It’s best to know the truth so let’s believe, knuckle down and get on with it.
Fuck!
Wenger needs to get Oz up and running because with Diaby and Rosicky, someone will get hurt. He needs to have that kid ready to go before he gets thrown in at the deep end of the pool.
Its just going to be one of those seasons it seems, all we can hope for is the board have learnt lessons, hopefully the grove will stay full and we regroup for next season and take what we can from this campaign.
Get well soon jack! And who the hell is this Diaby, is he still in the Arsenal team? God make him go away this season, amen
