Nicklas Bendtner is being strongly linked with a move to Turkish giants Galatasaray.
According to Turkish outlet Miliyet, prelimary talks have taken place between the clubs with Arsenal looking for a fee of around £4.5m.
Galatasary can offer Champions League football and are in a position to cover Bendtner’s wages. They also suggest that because of his family ties in London, where his young son lives, special arrangements will be made in terms of private air transport for holidays.
Bendtner is currently focused solely on the European Championships with Denmark where his two goals against Portugal will have done his chances of finding a new club no harm at all. He is also facing a UEFA sanction for his Paddy Power underpants which he displayed, contrary to tournament rules.
He remained coy on his future this week, saying, “It’s not something I think about. I’m only think about Denmark and the European championships, but it’s nice to score two goals which will obviously create some interest.”
If he does decide to make the move to Turkey, he’d be playing alongside his former Arsenal teammate Emmanuel Eboue who joined Galatasaray in a £2.5 move last summer.

Thanks to @ArsenalDane for the heads-up
Bendtner – a perfect example of attitude overshadowing ability. A shame our system didn’t knock that out of him, he has shown glimpses of what he could offer.
Psychiatrics at the medical centre? You may be on to something here. We could rent the facility out to other clubs too. Think of how much business we could conduct with Man City – Balotelli, Na$ri, Tevez.
You mean how much MORE business we could do with Man City!
Go prove yourself bendtner,
Ah who am I kidding.
But seriously keep your pants on and you’ll do just fine.
If Bendtner and Eboue end up playing together again, I can’t help but feel Arsenal supporters will be missing out on some massive comedy.
£4.5m for TGSTEL is not half-bad if the rumours of Giroux for £12m are true.
So long Bendtner, you were funny for a while.
So long TGSTEL, the Turks will worship at your feet. Yeah, right. I recon we should chuck in Almunia just in case they have second thoughts.
Seriously! Wow, the turkish league just got interesting
Good riddance.

There’s been so much talk about getting VP to sign a new contract. We should get Theo to sign one soon too
Theo turned up yesterday. Maybe because his arse has warmed Englands bench. Don’t get too carried away. Remember that Theo is “consistent in patches”.
More of the same please, on a regular basis, then talk big money. Ronaldo like dip – yeah right!
Give credit where its due. Theo’s performances after the 5pud2 match last season were definitely worthy of a contract extension.
That’s precisely my point – that was one of Theos famous patches. He seems to play better when he has something to prove. Why does it take the fans getting on his back, or bench splinters in his arse for him to “show us what he can do”. If he gets a big money deal, I fear Theo will lose motivation and all his promise will disappear. Sadly, almost to the point of treason, I feel that there is no way a manager like Fergie would accept Theos inconsistency. After he had had his hair dried by Fergie a few… Read more »
I’d rather keep him, even if inconsistent , than loose him to another team and for him to find his consistency . That’s why I say extend his contract.
I think – and I mean this sincerely, not in a derogatory way – that Theo’s best position is substitute. With his pace, he can turn a game by coming on when opponents are just starting to slow down a bit far more than he can by starting a game…
£4.5m seems a bit low doesn’t it ?
Take away the fact he’s a bit of a tool, he’s still a premier league quality striker and is doing the business at international level.
I’d have thought £8m was a bit more realistic if Giroud is being touted at £12m
Andy Carol [sic] is a premier league striker. He ain’t worth £35m, at most 8m in my humble opinion. Let us not smoke the stuff Bendtner is selling – he is very, very wasteful as a striker and is of most use when your team is ahead and you want to rest your real striker. Harsh but true.
Cant have it both ways. High wages means in reality we will subsidise that via lower transfer fee.
Just be glad the infamous deadwood could free up the squad and some finances.
Hardly fantastic work tho, flogging NB for 4,5m if the story has substance.
I would have thought around £6 is close to what he’s worth with the money he’s on, especially considering he’s still young and you could get it back if/when you sell him on. With good service he’ll get 20 goals a season, in any league.
I thought he wasn’t good enough for Sunderland.
£2.50 for Eboue. Startling how little we managed to get for him. At least Bendtner is making us some millions.
£4.5m??? Is this some kind of joke?? He is a £10m player who should have a hefty sell-on clause.
lol that a mockery offer he is way beyond that offer perhaps he’s still young and promising £8-10m or £7m at least
It he ends up in Turkey im pretty sure he will be scoring quite a few goals. He is a decent striker, an example is Swedens Elmander who managed to score 18 goals in 92 games in the premier league. He scored 11 in his first season in Turkey.
£4.5m for TGSTEL is a shame, he should have been sold for £80m, imagine a player of that calibre!
PATHETIC, the guy needs a good eyes and brain cleanser, lol.
If his playing ability matched his ego, who would be in Barcalona’s starting 11 ahead of Messi
He better play well in Galatasary. Look what happened to Eboue. I don’t think Bendtner’s ego could take a bottle/coin pelting. And what would he do if a spectator charged at him? I don’t think Paddy Power would save him.
Guys! come on, do some research…
He is going for a low fee because he has decided to get a ‘Paddy Power’ tattoo across his forehead – which will incur a fine every game he plays.. so it will cost a lot to fund TGSTEL
Fail.
Why on earth are people taking the piss out of Bendtner? Granted he had the night club incident and what not, but he’s still a quality striker. He did really well on loan at Sunderland and has been in great form in the EC so far. The problem was that he was ALWAYS put on the right hand side of the attack while he’s clearly a target man striker. No wonder he wants to leave. I’d rather have him than Park and Chamakh, unless Chamakh finds his first-six-months form again.
As much as I think Bendtner is better than Chamakh, something about his face that deserves a punch. He is a quality player, lazy and has his hits and misses when it comes to scoring. I will never forgive him for the miss against Barca and the block on the line against liverpool? from cesc shot. He was given the main striker role when RVP was out 2 seasons back. He looked good then. When RVP returned he was 2nd/3rd choice to RVP and possibly chamakh(first 6 months). Instead of fighting for his place, he started rumbling about lack of… Read more »
Also, when Szczesny says he wants to be the best goalkeeper in the world everyone’s like AWWWWWW I LOVE HIM WHAT A LAD GREAT CONFIDENCE. When Bendtner says the same it’s LOL HAHA WHAT A LAD F*CK OFF TO ANOTHER TEAM YOU EGOCENTRIC IDIOT.
Oi Bendtner, please leave that green boxer in the locker, we need them green boxer luck next season.
Steve Bould will wear it for us.
Good to see Freddy Ljungberg telling how it is.

@MAllen – Fergie wouldn’t accept inconsistency? I think you need to take a look at none other than Wayne Rooney. Played shit for most of the season (2010/11 was it?) and was rewarded with a £250,000 a week contract.
How much are we paying him each week. Funny bloke, average player, massive wage drain.
See ya.
