Having both put in gorgeously rambunctious performances that made mash of the Spuds, Jack Wilshere and Santi Cazorla have been quick to praise each other’s lushness.
Playing alongside one another for only the third time this season, the diminutive duo were a constant threat throughout the 5-2 win (that’s this year’s…not to be confused with the same scoreline last year) hinting that their partnership could be as promising in reality as had been posited on paper.
When asked if he had a nickname for his Spanish teammate, Wilshere lamented that he did not, but admitted that he has been so bowled over by the brilliance of Cazorla that “Maybe it should be Messi!”
“His touch and his vision is just a joke,” continued the England international. “He is a dream to play with.
“He never gives the ball away, he is creative and busy round the pitch. He is a joy to play with.”
Comparing Cazorla with Fabregas, the last Spaniard with whom he played in midfield, Wilshere highlighted a couple of fundamental differences.
“He is a different player to Cesc. Cesc is more of a passer. With Santi, he can pick the ball up, he can beat people, he has got a great shot on him. He is just different class and he is great to play with.”
“There was one point when there were three players around him and he just dribbled out of it.
“That is up there with the best. I think I will have to watch it again to learn a few thing off him!”
Returning the favour, Cazorla praised Wilshere’s progress since returning from injury:
“Jack has a quality that everyone knows about, and he is a crucial player for us.
“Every day, he gets better and playing with him gets easier every day, as he improves his level and finds his fitness again.
“We have to be patient but he will keep on improving.
“I am starting to understand Jack a little bit more but that is the same with all of my team-mates. We are getting better with every game.”
Cazorla also joked about his ridiculous mid-week, long haul, round-trip to Panama which ended with him sitting on the bench for his country.
“A few of the players have said that I should go back and do the journey again, because it’s obviously helped my form!
“It was a long journey and a hard one, but I was able to rest and I feel good now.”
Arseblog News, with small cartoon hearts in our eyes, has little else to add other than we’re very happy that Jack and Santi are enjoying each other’s company. May they grow old together in the red and white.
I cant wait to see these two once hy have both settled………and yes i too Jack was in awe when Santi plucked the ball out the air and spun away from them dipshits. My missus thought i was gonna explode with joy!! Also top man for shoving that monkey boy ; )
……. and we love you too!
and we love you two too
People say we wouldn’t have beaten (dont know about that though) sp*rs were it not for the red card. Truth is, a striker went off not a defender, that should not be an excuse to go on ahead and ship 5 goals. For a club under the illusion of vying for champ football that is shameful, cuntish and quite frankly tottenham-like. sp*rs are shit btw and cazorla is king.
Couldn’t have put it better myself.
It should also be noted that they shipped 3 of the goals when they were still playing with a full defence, and their “come out and attack” policy in the second half wouldn’t have stopped them conceding more even if they were playing with 11 men (Huddlestone or whatever his name is sat deep enough most of the time, anyway).
While I had 100% we would have won 11v11, the problem with 10v11 and losing 1 striker is giving us the space to build our attack from the back, which is a huge characteristic of our playstyle.
With less attacking threat, we had a lot more confidence, and psychologically 10v11 is a significant advantage. I cannot say that the red card did not contribute to our win, it was a huge advantage.
everybody loves santi
“…He is just different class and he is great to play with.” Oh Jack how I love you, you little crazy, ridiculously talented bull-dog.
Hahhahaa. Adebawhore was scared of wilshere like a cunt. In the picture : “WHAT? ME? JACK? BRO?” Jack : “Fuck you and your monkey ass friend bitch”
Shows how thin the margins are to make it as a top footballer. Arsene wenger gave Adebawhore the training and platform to become a great striker but too much ego, stupidity, greed and bad advice and this is where he ends up, as a no-good mercenary that was used by manshitty as they paid their way to the top, only to discard him like trash when they didn’t need him anymore. Good thing actually, now we have Giroud, who shows that not only does he have ability and strength but the crucial “fight”! Loved the goal he got when he… Read more »
I was slightly disappointed that they didn’t manage to actually rip his shirt off.
Bring on Montpellier!
People talking about the lack of physicality in the midfield should wait till Jack is another month into regular football. JW10 is a beast. On the other hand technically we have the best midfield in England right now.
Sigh… Arteta, Carzola and Wilshere. Wonder if any other team in the EPL has a better midfield.
Is it just me or does the thought of having a Midfield trio of JW10-Diaby-Arteta coupled with a front 3 of Theo-Giroud-Santi (playing the mata role) give you a throbbing veiny hard-on?
Our squad really is pretty good when everyone’s fit, but especially our first XI
Up there with the best of them just a shame we haven’t seen them all together on the pitch at once yet.
when do we ever play with our strongest 11..? Not in a long time.. But hey we always up there.. And jack jack jack..!! God he plays for that cannon like no one’s business.. He loves the arsenal.. And we as arsenal love him.. That fight he had with ape face was so awesome to see.. Carzola not going down.. True class.. Getting up and giving that sexy beast his goal.. Grrrrrr. . Loved all of them on that pitch.. Kos was immense..!! Sagna was awesome, arteta was the marshall.. Podolski was up for it.. And walcott was playing for… Read more »
Our midfield of Arteta-Santi-Wilshere looks great on paper, and it is pretty good on the pitch aswell. I think they still have some issues to deal with, notably in the defensive phase about what to do without the ball, i’d like to see two of the three (arteta and one of the other two) be a little bit more compact. Too often Arteta is on his own with Wilshere and Cazorla pushing up. That is fine when the defence is pushed up high, but when the defence has dropped off it leaves too much space. So this is a key… Read more »
Aww, bless em, its a love in!!
shame they cant make babies, 11 little Jacti’s, to beat up spuds for the next 25 years.
(now theres a thought. wonder if i can do cloning with a turkey baster, and 2 combined meccano sets…………… 😉 )
I would love both if they come to
Manchester.Sir Ferguson you know what
do.mid-table teams need money and
we’ve got plenty!!!
Still in debt aren’t you without the money to replace a 38 year old Scholes and 38 year old Giggs. Luckily, Webb and Co only need a small amount to look the other way.
Haha it’s debt you have plenty of, not money. The glory might dry up sooner or later for Glazer retirement fund united.
Not the sharpest tool in the box are you? Putting a picture of yourself on your Avatar and go on a site to wind up rival fans?
Like a moron graffiti artist who sprays his own name two foot high on a wall.
Douche bag.
I agree with you totally guy. They need medals already
USA Rocks
awesome

You actually went on ahead and got a gravatar!!!. Seems you have way too much time on your hands, I recommended consoling rvps little boy after their loss.
Hala norwich!
ADMIN PLS BAN THIS MOTHERFUCKER RIGHT NOW. RIGHT NOW. HE NEEDS TO GET PUNCHED IN THE FACE.
Repeatedly, preferably until death!!!
No keep him, he’s a living embodiment of Man Utd fans, he’s to busy chatting about Arsenal, a London team, yet his team’s all the way in Manchester. Hmmm glory-hunters much.
Nice jumper, did mummy knit it for you, and where do you live, judging by your avatar it’s in a wooden shed at the bottom of your garden… Tosser !!
Funny though that you want the players from this ‘mid-table team’..
She said no robin, she said no

Ooooooh…Santi Cazorla…Oooooh Santi Cazorla!!!
“that’s this year’s…not to be confused with the same scoreline last year”…
Haha, love it! The annual drubbing never fails to disappoint!
Actually, the earlier 5-2 was this year as well.
Save for Gibbs being fit I think the 10/11 of our starting team against Spuds is our best line-up. Get Gibbs back and there you go. TV5 needs to be fighting for his place at CB with Kos and the BFG. How happy were you when BFG scored!!!!!! I knew it was coming soon but to net his first against Spuds was priceless. As was Podolski scoring against them given his “I didn’t know who Tottenham were” comment. If we keep this line-up healthy and as Jack & Santi have said they learn each others movements and tendencies I believe… Read more »
I still think on occassions this trio will struggle. arteta eill get isolated and a bigger more physical player will be required. i still think that capoue or mvila would fit the bill. but until january we should just go for it making sure to rest our best wherever possible. bradford and hopefully olympiacos will be 2 games where we could do this and the other option is to give players the odd 30 minutes breather here and there. we are very close now to having our best 18 available. in my opinion only gibbs rosicky diaby and gervinho are… Read more »
Didn’t see any of it but I heard Ryo got a run out for Wigan this weekend. How did he look?
6’1, of Japanese decent, with cool black hair.
We have great midfield trio of carzola, arteta, wilshere …..the fab 3 but we have to have a fab 4 … a guy like viera or gilberto in the team…….Just like chelsea who have fantastic trio of Mata,Oscar n Hazard and have Mikel in the hole.
For me Diaby would complete that fab 4.
Enough with Diaby……………forget him!………. Sorry but its the truth!
4 games a season is no good to anyone.
As soon as you wrote Mikel, I knew this had to be a joke post.
trying…too… resist… Coq… joke… I WOULDN’T MIND HAVING THE COQ IN THE HOLE!
Damn it!
mikel is not fab…..hes fucking shit. and hes JT’s secret lover. we got diaby when fit, coquelin and frimmers when he returns from Charlton after 3 red cards…..
i have not saying that Mikel is fav , just that Arsenal does not have a proper defending midfielder , we need 1 if we want to win titles …every champion team has one ,, n please dont tell me we have coq n frimmer they need to improve a lot…
Anyone up for a cheeky bid for Torres on Loan? Think he would give us an option at the very least.
I have a terrible sense of Deja Vu.
Now why would that have happened at the prospect of having in our squad a blonde striker who’s supposed to be one of The Greatest Strikers To Ever Live, but who actually can’t be relied upon to hit a cow’s arse with a banjo?
http://www.101greatgoals.com/blog/video-watch-bacary-sagna-completely-ignore-emmanuel-adebayor-in-the-tunnel-pre-arsenal-5-spurs-2/
just worth watching again and again. Priceless M. Sagna and worth that new deal all on it’s own
Thanks for sharing that . It just annoys me that we haven’t tied down Bac with a new contract. He obviously loves Arsenal, it shows in his performance and his attitude. Come on Arsenal give him a new contract already !
Really wish that was all that happened, but if you watch the video at the bottom Bac does happily greet that scumbag before ignoring him later.
Still a boss though. Need to sign him and Theo up and finally put a foot down on letting our starters leave. Better late than never.
Pretty sure that 30 seconds before that, Bac and Ade were having a nice little chat. In fact, Ade was having a nice little chat with half the team.
Seems that most players, unlike message board people, know that at the end of the day, football is just a game.
Amen to your prayers blog!
okay fair comment im just so positive at the moment i dont wanna come down to the realisation that, yes we do need a couple of signings. Il save that view when we have a bad day and i feel like a good moan on a monday morning
Couldn’t help notice how genuinely delighted Theo was when Arsenal scored, still seems to have real passion for the team, but of course we’ve been suckered before!!!!!
