Ramsey is abit possesed atm. Insane fitness levels. He outran everyone else tonight (12834m) and i assume has done so consistently in the previous matches…. if he isn’t scoring, he’s assisting. This is an unbelievable transformation. keep this up and an individual accolade is defo on the cards!!
Aside from his blistering attacking credentials, he has routinely been one of the hardest working midfielders in the game, for me. I think this is why Arsene was still so willing to stick with him through… less-than-astonishing times. It is so impressive to see him chase after a ball if he loses it and win it back, or to get stuck in to a 2-on-1. He’s always there for the other guys in midfield, and while he perhaps doesn’t have ‘world class’ quickness, he runs and runs and runs and I think sometimes the opposition just has to give up.… Read more »

Stupid Mark Pougatch on 5 live kept repeating that Arsenal fans had written off Ramsey at the end of last season. Last season? He was arguably our best player towards the end last season and he won Arsenal.com fans player of the month in April.

Wasn’t the best game to watch at times but utterly absorbing. Those statistics on intercepts bespeak the technical nature of the game. Both sides were very clever with reading the game and it became in some ways a chess match. Slightly too congested in the middle of the pitch and we could have done with some speed on our flanks. Wenger sadly lacked options for this game but likely also has an eye to the weekend which is correct. Another player who would have helped was Flamini. It was about till 3.00 in the morning in India, when the game got over. I was awake all night, even though had work at 9.00 am in the morning. It was worth every second of being awake. 🙂

Our team has matured collectively though,defense is the best atm.
We need to do this more consistently against teams who press high up the pitch; let the opposition have the ball and hit them on the break with fast moving fotball in the length direction. Not tiki taka time wasting, which gives teams pressing from the front time to get back in midfield.
