Arsene Wenger said yesterday that Olivier Giroud’s illness was 90% likely to keep him out of the FA Cup game against Sp*rs today.
This morning, the HFB has confirmed his absence via Twitter, saying “Still a bit sick… Then I’ll watch the north london derby at home. All the best to you guys!” (we have removed many smilies).
He then posted an Instagram selfie, we assume taken from his sick bed, in which his hair is perfect. PERFECT. For those of us who wake up looking like Doc Brown, it all seems a bit unfair.
Lukas Podolski is set to lead the line this evening and, due to the injuries to Giroud and Bendtner, there may even be a place on the bench for South Korean Ju Young Park and possibly youngster Benik Afobe.
I haven’t been too active here for the past couple of months, and there’s a Handsome French reason for that. Get well soon Giroud!
I also be watching the game from my sick bed, and I have been strongly advised not to post a selfie as mine would frighten small children. Surely the HFB will be in a bit of trouble for giving away team news?
he’s all “what chu lookin at?’ and i’m like “are you for real?!”
What Chu looking at? The bench it seems…
Giroud selfie – officially swoon material?
Wish u the best HFB!!
Bastard. Is it possible to get a picture of this man where he is not looking ravishingly beautiful?
And I’ll assume, Blogs, you means “wake up with your hair looking like Doc Brown’s”, unless of course you have actually woken up looking like Doc Brown.
So what, spank me for being pedantic.
I left it vague on purpose
Give ryo a bit more playing time. Let him get into his groove. Would be better than gnabry if given as much playing time.
No.
Let us pray for victory against spurs to night
Yes when i get flu too. my no.1 concern is usually my hair. has to be perfect.
I wish Giroud would score as many goals as he takes selfies.
I wish fans would support their team and not bitch about the players who are doing extremely well.
Olivier has scored 11 goals and made 6.
And we are top of the muddafukking league..
He’s not really ill at all. He just walked into my consultation room and I got all light headed. Next thing I know he walks out with a sick note. Heavy swoon effect.
*swoon*
The beginning of the rebirth of Ju Young Park.
You will be asked: “Where we’re you when Park scored that quadruple against Spurs?”
“Was that before or after he won his 2nd Ballon d’Or ?” Will be your reply.
Park is a legend in the making! Unfortunately he doesn’t know that… Nor do we… But anyway a LEGEND! He’ll show the world how to warm a bench!
