Arsenal will face Liverpool in the FA Cup on Sunday 16 February at 4pm in a game to be shown live on BT Sport.
The Emirates showdown comes six days after the Gunners travel to Anfield in the league and just four after Manchester United’s visit on the Wednesday (although there are worries a tube strike could force the game against Moyes’ men to be cancelled).
It’s also a Sunday kick-off, at the latest possible time, just three days before we face the might of Bayern Munich in the Champions League.
Speaking after the Southampton game tonight, Arsene Wenger gave his reaction, saying, “I am not disappointed because it was planned. I told you we will play on Sunday so I cannot be disappointed because I knew already that we would play on Sunday.
“When you have two big games for the television. The first one is Man City against Chelsea, but on Tuesday night Man City plays against Barcelona so you knew they would go on Saturday.
“Thank you very much we go on Sunday.”
