Although they hold a two goal lead from the first leg and have scored a billion and eight goals in their few games, Pep Guardiola is taking nothing for granted as he gears up his team to face Arsenal tomorrow night.
The Bayern boss paid tribute to the quality of Arsene Wenger and his playing squad, mindful of the scare the Gunners gave the eventual winners in Munich last season.
“Arsenal have lots of good players like Santi Cazorla and Mesut Ozil,” he said. “They pass and move very well. Their quality is always there to see.
“I know Arsene Wenger well and so do my players. They know what they have to do.”
While many pundits are calling this game a foregone conclusion, the Catalan won’t let his team slack off as he’s expecting Arseanal to give it a real go.
“Arsene works really well with young players and never changes his style. He’s one of the best coaches around.
“It’s a massive game tomorrow so I expect a huge performance from Ozil and the rest of their team.”
Indeed, such is his fear of the damage the German can do, Guardiola says he’s told his team that he “doesn’t want to see Ozil on the ball.”
Provided Arsenal can maintain their full complement tomorrow night, it’s likely that Ozil will be much more advanced and will play in areas which can hopefully damage the rampant German side.
I really really hope we go there and absolutely stuff them. People seem to forget that wenger is Pep’s kryptonite.
If wenger had even close to the same level quality squads that Pep has had over the last few years , wenger would most def beat him on even more occasions.
Mind games….you should know Wenger won’t fall for that Pep
He has to deal with the biggest douche on earth on a week to week basis.
The biggest “mouche bag” if you will…..
3-0 to the Arsenal 🙂
I can hear that as a song in my head already:
We’re leading 3-0, 85 minutes gone…
# ‘3-0 to the Arsenal, 3-0 to the Arsenal… 3-0 to the Arsenal, 3-0 to the ARSENAL!!’
COYG!
Don’t mean to be a picky. Ideally, for me, we would beat them 3-1 so they have to go out on goal difference. Not that it matters really. I would sh**e my pants either way.
Sorry but this threw me….
I was under the assumption that “shite” was either to be used as a noun or as the past-tense of “shit”?
Think this is a game we should approach without fear, as there isn’t much pressure on us to advance. take the handbreak off, have a real go and see what happens…you never know! COYG!
Look at the advertising behind his head to the right…
winner!
well, at least the media got THAT one right 😀
COME ON ARSENAL. WIN TOMORROW AND HAVE THE WHOLE OF LONDON SMILING, BAR THE BLUE AND / OR WHITE CUNNIES.
Ozil is finally hitting form at the right time , the business end of the season.
Bayern are ready and waiting for us so it will be very very difficult to overturn the deficit but if our boys all click together it can be done.
2 0 Arsenal and a win on penalties with Ozil netting the winning pen. Now that would be something !
COME ON YOU GUNNERS…
I can see a 2-1 sort of victory
Wow, getting negatives for saying I think we can beat bayern 2-1 in Germany, at least everyone is feeling some optimism there!! :p
That’s cos, like last year, it won’t really help our cause much – we’ll still go out, like last year.
The rest of us aim higher! 😀
We may not be the bookmakers favourite, but we are the big man upstairs’ favourite!
ARSENAL 2013/2014 Treble winning team!
Is Usmanov our chairman now?
I was watching the highlights again now and it surprised me how many of Özil’s masterpiece inch perfect passes I had missed watching the game itself. Seriously, the pass to Santi’s first time taken volley was other worldly…the vision, the accuracy. Please lets see more of that in tomorrow’s game Özil 🙂
You saw that orgasmic hand gesture he made out to Giroud on the 4th goal, thats what we want from him…. dictate the terms 😀
Here it is
GIF where Ozil indicates to Giroud the space to run into:

ofcourse mate…ORGASMIC 😀
Condescending cunt
To me, we go in to this game as favourites due to fact that Bayern can no longer score anymore away goals! (In a knob Mouriniho way of thinking!)
3-1 to the arsenal with an early goal to Giroud again. COYG!!!!
Funny how virtually all the coaches around Europe have the utmost respect for Wenger and his footballing ideology, but some sections of the media and our own fans don’t.
As Henry said, we need to be careful of what we wish for.
To quite old nanna face Kevin Keegan “I’d love it if we beat them”
*quote
Is nobody going to point out the “Arseanal” typo? Am I losing my mind?
Not a typo. Blogs has learned of Wenger’s super secret plan to anal their arses in Munich.
That’s what Giroud was really up to in that hotel room — intensive training.
Lv ozil even better if that pen was scored no worries ozil, its this goal difference to clge cup holders, what a game this will be again coyg
Um….”he’s expecting Arseanal to give it a real go.”?
now per, lets smash and pep’s them alright
Oxlade to get the fastest hat-trick in Champions League history.
I’d take a 1-3 win, can’t see a better scoreline for last year payback.
Its all about the occasion but can we rise to it? We started brilliantly against Bayern at home then lost to Stoke. You can’t question the tactics or the quality cause it has always been there but can the players push their sub conscious to that top level? I hope they do and I hope we make the mother of all comebacks….
Stage is set for Chamberlain I think. He did AC a new one last year. He could do a B*le. Come on Oxxy.
I mean two years ago re: AC.
God bless you Gunners …go there, rise up, fight, show this Bayern team who’s here! Even if we go out but put up a fight it’ll be a proud moment like last year…I still remember thos last 8 minutes Bayern were scared to their wits.
We can certainly do it if we don’t concede an early goal. So, handbrakes off won’t pass, except in the closing stages.
I’ll be honest, I’m looking for a good performance tomorrow, and no injuries. If the miracle happens, it would be simply amazing. Imagine the backtracking in the media, and imagine the fillip it will provide the whole team.
Just hope the team selection gives us enough pace for Ozil to use around him.
Guardiola gets a bit too much respect as a manager for my liking. Phil Brown could probably squeeze a few wins out of the squads Guardiola’s had handed to him. Fuck, I think I could, and I stopped playing Football Manager years ago.
