Pretty much expected. Sadly it looks like the presence of Wilshere and Ramsey in the midfield will shunt Ozil out to the left. Let’s hope he can put in a real shift tonight, despite being played out of position. I’m still convinced Ozil is on the cusp of regaining some of the form we saw in the early days of last season. COYG! There’s no better statement of Champions League intent then a win at Dortmund away.

Should’ve dropped ozil for cazorla. Perhaps it’s the German opponent that prompts his start, but it’s not unreasonable to say that a spell on the sidelines would sufficiently motivate and rest him.

Honestly the prospect of Bellerin starting doesn’t scare me nearly as much considering the amount of experience surrounding him. and honestly he’s the same age as chambers, he may show he has as much composure and potential as callum (fingers crossed). looking forward to seeing what he can do, and what better place then the CL. He does have the license to drift inside but that also means a) he has to track back which he wouldn’t have to do if he was a number 10 therefore would be in more dangerous position.
B) leaves us unbalanced in attack and c) because ozil either doesn’t track back or just runs alongside the opposition full back without tackling him, playing him on the left hinders us defensively too.
Its partly ozil to blame but more blame on Wenger as he can’t see what is blatantly obvious to everyone else.
I remember Wenger once said during the World Cup in Brazil–the same TV segment where he quashed the Balotelli-to-Arsenal rumour–that the trend of top teams right now is in the attacking football, that is, who outscores the other. We are definitely thin in the back, no question about it and Wenger also admitted that, but it seems all the top clubs in Europe are loading up their front more than ever. Who has more firepower will determine the win. We are the Arsenal! Let’s live up to our name.

Unbelievable bitching from some on here. You would think we’ve lost a competitive match at some point since early April.
Dortmund fans see themselves as part of their team on game day. Gooners seem just to want to be entertained (or to bitch). We really CAN help the team and players find form, but I’ve rarely seen Arsenal fans at a match play that role. Frustrating really.
The good thing for us is that Dortmund have an injury-ravaged team.

At first I was somewhat frightened by the idea that Bellerin would get his CL debut against Marco Reus, but then I realized he’s not in the line up. He’s not even on the bench. Is he injured?
