Young midfielder Kristoffer Olsson has signed for FC Midtjylland on a permanent basis.
The highly-rated Swede has been on loan with the Danish club since the beginning of the season, but reports in his home country say that he’s now signed a three and a half year deal.
In a press release, the player said, “This is a club that believes in me and sees my potential.
“This is is a hungry club on the way up. I feel the same way, and therefore I believe that this is the right decision for me. In addition, playing time is important to me right now, and there will I get that here.”
It was always likely to end up this way with the player admitting earlier in the month that Arsenal had no problem with him leaving.
Best of luck to him.
Hope he lives up to his “I want first team action” talk.
Buy-back clause?
Olsson out….cavani in?! Hate speculation lol. The window is almost upon us…
Talented player but his chances for a first team breakthrough was close to zero, considering the number of attacking midfielders we have. Best wishes for him, hope he continues to do well in Denmark.
Aww it’s a pity, thought he was a real talent. Hope he does well in Denmark.
Would’ve been great to have another Swede in the first team after Freddie and Kim Kool-as-you-like Källström.
Thought this dude had potential but it’s not to be. Good luck to you mate!
Always buzzed around the pitch. Few times I saw him he reminded me of the little Mozart. Best of luck RosickyMKII
Now Olsson is gone. Eisfeld before him. I have a feeling Jebb might follow after them. Hope the likes of Toral, Crowley and Zelalem can make the step up. I hope we have a buy-back or sell-on clause for Olsson
