Phil Neville is a twat!

Henry! Chance!! Goal!!!

He is a complete moron.

Gargoyle

A moronic twat then!

Tom

Neville sounds as stupid as the obese fat fool that said Santis panenka vs Newcastle was disrespectful to the keeper.

Why are most pundits fuckin stupid?

I’ve lost count of the number of matches were the amount of shots we have conceded is equal to goals against with Schez in goal. We won’t win the cup with him.

The defense staying organized ahead of him is an issue. So, I wouldn’t blame him for most of those but you can infer that Ospina either does a better job of communicating and organizing or for some reason the team seems better at not letting him get exposed. A lot of the saves Ospina has had to make recently are similar to the ones Szcz made last season on the way to the golden glove. Plus I should note that Ospina had the benefit of having both Per and Koscielny together ahead of him as well as Coquelin who has… Read more »

I have to agree with jonnycakes.

Chez is a problem. Just not good enough.

And its happening to often now.

How many times has blogs rated him in the player rating and said

“There was nothing he could do about the goals” ?

happy gunner

I completely agree with you blogs in regards to both these goals were not sezzy’s fault. At the same time though I have this nagging feeling, he went down too early and if we had say de gea in goal (in his current form) then i would be more confident of him preventing that goal rather then szc. People are just being plain and outright stupid about szc, just because he’s made a couple of mistakes doesn’t mean we have to jump on his back? I thought we were meant to support our players regardless of what they do. Remember… Read more »

I bet you were one of those that would slate almunia bedtner and denilson. Get used to it people have there opinion.

I agree the first one was a good goal but too not even dive. The second one if he stays up longer he doesn’t score. He made Iit too easy.

When you say there was “nothing” the goalie could do, it’s more a way to say that the quality of the shot/shooting position was such that in most cases it would end up as a goal rather than a save. Anytime a player is one on one with the keeper you should expect a goal and that’s what happened for their second. For the first goal we conceded, Szcz was partially unsighted by Kos who didn’t manage to get a block in for a shot at the near post. No unsighted keeper is ever going to react to that unless… Read more »

Agree that the goals weren’t his fault, and he played well last season. But there was a moment yesterday, in the last few mins, Szczesny collected the ball in his arms and as quickly as he could threw it out to the left-back, who was immediately surrounded by 2 brighton players. We subsequently lost the ball, they had a throw and got into a decent crossing position, which didn’t materialise. The fans around me, myself included, groaned with anger when he did that and it’s those kind of things that eradicate the memory of any good performances. He undoes his… Read more »

Wolfgang

Arseblog why do you think there was nothing he could do about the first?

Do you believe no goalie in the world could have saved that?

Agreed, it was difficult but I also agree with johnny… above that too many shots on target against us when Chez is keeping goal is equal to goals conceded. (that in itself is a problem)

And you guys may just be giving him the benefit of the doubt too often.

riku

Rosicky should have kick ball towards half way line. Never across your own box. No schz fault! Super tom made up for it

Oberon

I think the Szczesny hate comes from the fact they don’t like him as a person rather than how he performs. My mate says the same rubbish based on hunches and nonsense like he should’ve seen the ball through people or flaps at crosses (even though we had the best record against crosses last year). I’m not fully convinced on Ospina some of the punching against Man city was suspect but I can’t complain about much else with him.

congratulation arsenal , and nice work ozil and team

I remember that and it pissed me off as well. As soon as he rolled the ball out I was steeling myself for what would follow. Not a big fan of his.

paul

His ball distribution was terrible yesterday. Forget the 2 goals we conceded. Basics

das pauly bear

When the defence is cut open thats when he has to earn his money.

first goal is his fault. When ball came in first time he should have controlled his area came to 6 yard line and collected it

have a look back at goals we conceded he is “wrong footed” way too often. Left standing there while ball goes past him. Off top of my head west ham

@$# Phil @&%$ Neville

Arsenalman29

The Keeper also plays a part in sorting the defence for corners etc, etc, the goals yesterday i do not blame Schezny, but i remember one punch he done which wasnt very convincing, i remember a few times when i thought he could have came for the ball and he didnt. But most of all, and the main reason why i hate Schezny being in goal. Is because when the team is under pressure, Schezny picks up the ball and throws it out straight away, putting or defence under pressure again! He has done this 100s of times and we… Read more »

When he distributes the ball quickly, he can facilitate a counter that kills off the tie. Fabianski quickly released the ball in the last minute of stoppage time away to wolves which chamakh(!) for a 0-2 arsenal win. Lehman did the same and Henry made it 0-2 at Blackburn. So it largely depends on if the receiver of the pass is able to spring a devastating counter..

Why do you ask my name? It is beyond understanding

Szczesny is a decent keeper but I am still not sure he is top, top quality. Is he ever going to have that Schmeichel, Neuer or Casillas quality that earns you up to 10 points per season by being totally outstanding? No, I don’t think he’s ever going to be that good. He’s not as bad as Almunia. But he’s not as good as Seaman either. I’d put him in the Lukic/Lehmann bracket. After so many occasions where shots on target is equal to goals conceded you have to wonder if it’s something about his positioning or his organisation of… Read more »

we played like the old arsenal in the second half…there was no defensive commitment…but really think that has to do with chambers (really don’t understand this…he should not be playing RB EVER)/gibbs committing too much in the offensive half…szczsney is still unsure whether he should come out for those 50-50 balls…you can see sometimes he misreads and gets off his line then scrambles back…
