Arsenal’s April showdowns with Liverpool, Burnley and Chelsea will be televised live by BT Sport and Sky Sports.
Our match against Liverpool at the Emirates on 4 April has been selected will be on BT Sport at 12.45pm rather than 3pm.
Last year we kicked off at Anfield at the same time and got a pummelling the likes of which Mike Tyson used to dish out in his prime. Revenge is a dish best served at lunchtime. Well let’s hope so anyway.
Our game against Burnley, selected for broadcast on Sky Sports on 11 April, has been pushed back a couple of hours and will now start at 5.30 pm. There’s a chance this could be pushed back to Sunday 12 April if we progress in the Champions League.
Our title six-pointer (we can dream) with Chelsea on 26 April will also be on Sky Sports. Originally scheduled for the day before it’ll now be the 4pm Super Sunday clash.
Hate 12.45 KOs, though at least it is at home.
COYR.
Nothing better than winning a big 12.45 KO though… Get to enjoy the weekend seeing rivals fumble
So Burnley will now be on the Sunday.Mark in diary.
Nothing wrong with thinking our April clash with Chelsea could be a six-pointer.
……and Chelsea will be playing catch up
Ugh, I somehow hate early kickoffs. Would love to see stats on what our recent record in them is.
The Liverpool memories are giving me the shakes all over again.
Fucking hate 12:45p kick-offs, and not because of our recent history in them or anything like that. It’s 4:45a over here! If the powers that be want our match to be a highlight match with no other matches going on at the same time, fucking put it at 5:30p.
Oh wait, they can’t do that can they? It would mean the travelling fans wouldn’t be able to get home in the evening. They’d never schedule a match where the travelling fans can’t get home in the evening, would they?
Know what you mean. I used to hold the FA responsible for the early kickoffs, and thought they just hated California. Now I realize it’s the fault of Sky Sports.
‘The world is an armchair’, I believe a bit learned man said recently… and not all of it lies to the west, indeed most is to the east. When I was residing in India I rather enjoyed the 12.45 kickoffs. Just from a timing point of view you’d understand. Our past record did leave me shitting myself just like the rest of you… through in fairness that could just be the Delhi belly.
At least pool is at home and we don’t (I think) hav a midweek game.
Who gives a shit about the time. Man up! COYG!!!!!
