Arsene Wenger has provided the latest news regarding tomorrow night’s squad for the Champions League game against Monaco.
The squad is essentially the same one that was named for the West Ham, but Gabriel returns from injury to replace Chuba Akpom.
Tomas Rosicky, meanwhile, is not included due to illness although the Czech international was pictured in training this morning.
And while the Frenchman spoke about ‘giving everything’ to overturn the first leg, his counterpart, Leonardo Jardim, says his side will have to be strong against an Arsenal side with plenty of attacking power.
“When you are facing a such a team as Arsenal, with players like Welbeck, Özil and Cazorla – it is true we cannot take it easy,” he said.
“We must focus. We are only at half-time, but our opponent has strong and quality players within their squad, so it will be very difficult for us.”

West Ham proves we can win by 3 clear goals and also we don’t need to panic as we can score 2 of them very close together.
Just dont do anything stupid like having a cavalry charge forward and lose the ball.
Say what you want about the game here in the States, but damn it I love this chant. Gives me goosebumps every time.

I BELIEVE!
Lol at people who thumbed this down.
Play on. Play on. Play the game.
You know the song Amazing by Kanye West those drums sounds at the beginning . That’s should be playing in every players ears as they step off the coach into the stadium. Ooh it always gets me hyped up. He’s to another European classic Arsenal style.
I stopped reading at “Kanye West”.
You know the song Amazing by Kanye… аааааnd next comment
Do you like fish sticks?
Sad that Overthegoon only had three likes when I read this 🙁
I’ll add some love 🙂
can’t get enough of them!
I think Thomas would not agree and go on strike!
this comment made me cringe
I believe we will qualify if we can score from setpieces in this match. I expect Monaco to park a bus that would make Chelsea blush like a virgin.
Dont understand. No live quotes from the presser? Or are they all locked up in kryptonic chambers?
Shit just got REAL
Cryonic LOL
Kryptonic chambers are not good – in Superman II he went into a kryptonic chamber and emerged without any of his powers 🙁
Weve no chance. Shot ourselves in the foot 1st leg.AGAIN!! Will we ever learn?? Hope im wrong!
Drivel, we could score 5 on our day
You may be right. In fact, you’re probably right. But keep that opinion to yourself. If we’re knocked out of the competition, then you can revel in having known all along that we were going to lose. Until then, support your club. Up the Arse!
I SAID “I HOPE IM WRONG!!”
U w00t m8?
Nice show of faith in the team there 🙁
Red bull gives you wings. #believe
Just believe in Inter 5-1
Henry was playing that day. Nuff said.
Ok so if we win I’ll change my name to John “White Hart Lane” Terry.
1-0to the arse it is then mr JT.

Don’t start Theo. I love the pacy forward but judging by his performance vs Westham I think the lengthy layoff has clearly taken its toll on his shooting and decision making ability. He lacks sharpness and was out of sync with fellow forwards. I’d have Alexis or Danny on the right, Ozil on the left, Santi behind HFG with Rambo further behind and Coq as usual in DM. The back 4 would remain as it was though I’d be tempted to start Gabby in the place of BFG. Anyway I’ll cheer whatever team le boss picks. If they play like… Read more »
HFG? Is Per now the Hot Fucking German?
hahaha. 3 things: Hangover + noisy boss + morning traffic. i work in a airport mate.
Great. Jardim forgot about Alexis.
And Giroud….Hopefully they can come back and bite him majorly!
It’s as baffling as his mention of Welbeck. I mean, I have a lot of time for Welbeck, but is Jardim really thinking of Welbeck as more of a threat than Giroud or Alexis?
Good news : Monaco are without their DMs Kondogbia and Toulalan. Ferreira-Carasco will also miss the game.
Unfortunately, this is just not true. All three of those players have been named in their Champions League squad for this fixture. They’re just back from injury, so I think there is a chance one or more of them might not start, but, as Monaco showed us in the first leg, they don’t need their first-choice players to be effective against us.
They were without several key starting XI players a fortnight ago….what good did that do?
We were without our best 11 as well.
– Monreal to play LCB and Kos RCB, while Gibbs and Bellerin play as fullbacks. Not the type of game for Merte to play in unfortunately. Pace is key for the few counters Monaco shall have this game.
– Wele to start instead of Walcott and Cazorla for Ramsey but other than that same as vs West Ham.
If they do score, no worries. 4-2 to the Arsenal!
4-2 and we’re out. Bad math that is!
If we win 4-2 we go through on away goals
I do Further Maths at A-level mate. You learn addition and subtraction in primary school. I’ll forgive you though since you may not have heard of the AGR.
You’d really start monreal at cb over Gabrielle or mert?? Crazy
I don’t think Wenger will play Monreal at CB tomorrow, but I think your point about the scoreline should give us pause. Even if Monaco score, nothing changes: we still need 3. People have been talking about this as an impossible task, but since when is a 3-1 scoreline an impossibility for us? Then, in extra time, anything can happen.
I really think we have a decent chance to progress tomorrow.
Aye, but for woeful finishing and a couple equally woeful one-off defensive mistakes, we should have run out of that match 3-1. No reason we cannot do it now. They’ll be nervous and on the back foot.
Performing good is not enough. They have to have must win mentality. Make every second count.
This monaco team are known for being hard to break down, let’s hope for an early goal and we might push on from there
What boring stuff from Monaco manager!!! He should be chanting ole ole in his press conference.
I’ll take two more of those first halves against Milan three years ago at the Ems, if you please, Gunners.

Hmm. Monaco. Long odds for Arsenal to advance. In Monaco. Hmm.
Anyone else see where this is going? I’d bet Arsene does.
Might be worth a punt.
More importantly, feeling there is a chance.
Yeah, last leg went foul. But they scored more than they could have dreamed, while we made more chances than they could have feared but they just didn’t go.
COYG
Penalty. Corner. Counter. Free kick. Shut up shop.
Left out the punchline: 2-4 to the Arsenal! When we score, we score in bunches. Be patient, boys!
