Petr Cech says that it will be a new experience for him to play at Stamford Bridge as a member of the opposition, but that his focus will be on helping Arsenal achieve a good result.
The 33 year old spent 10 years at Chelsea before joining Arsenal in the summer for £11m, and having been on the winning side in the Community Shield he’s looking to repeat the feat on Saturday,
“Obviously it will be new to play against Chelsea but when you start playing the game the only concern you have is ‘can I play my best game and can we win?'”, he told the club’s new podcast.
“In a way it is nice that I spent so much time there,” he continued. “I know every corner of the stadium and the space, so for me there will be no surprises I have never played at Stamford Bridge in the visiting team so it will be a new experience for me.
“I go to a familiar place but most important for me will be to win the game. That’s the way it goes.”

…and you will make a triumphant return to North London. I believe!
Lord Voldemort who’s looking increasingly vulnerable and cornered will no doubt delve deep into his dark arts and summon a fleet of buses to clog up the Bridge and sap any life away from the game…
A depressing 0-0.
What’s Jonjo Shelvey got to do with it?
Nah, his nose is too big.
Catch everything they throw at you, Big Pete. including Diego Costa’s head.
No, Diego Costa’s head is definitely one of the times he is allowed to punch….over and over
Ohhhhhhh…Fabregas is magic. He does a magic act. Hes disappeared in every game, because hes fucking crap.
I hope you’re going to the game and will be able to start this up.
Where are all the analysts and pundits who were on Arsene’s back for passing him up last season? That Fab that took the league by storm that many years ago is gone. So glad Arsene bought Alexis instead.
This, and the replies, make me feel a bit sad. I mean, we’re talking about Fabregas who was our hero. He was still saying “We” when talking about Arsenal a year after he left. Having said that though, I realise I didn’t want to thumb any of it down. Looks like nobody else did either. So sad those cunts at Barcelona worked on him til he went back. I guess I’m sorry for the times that might have been but never happened.
Well, if I remember correctly, Fabregas did everything to make us know he wants to leave for Barca save putting in a transfer request. He looked disinterested and left Arsene with no option than to sell him. That was not very heroic if you ask me.
What a safe pair of hands we have. Just take that in for a few. Suffered in this position for years man!
Wenger: (after buying him) He petr Cech out Mou!
Mou: *sob* i blame eva *sob*
Let’s hope Theo can rip Terry to pieces like he did back in October 2011!!
Cech will have a blinder.
Oh, how fun was that!

Your video just made me sad. I hate to say this but the Dutch Skunk would have dazzled with service from Ozil. Anyways, loved to see Santos score!
Costa is playing like a 46 year old… oh, wait
I love him.
Is anyone else worried Chelsea will suddenly find some form against us?
I am not worried about Chelsea finding form on Saturday; they won’t. There are so many players playing poorly – Terry, Ivanovic, Matic, Mikel, Fabregas, Hazard, Willian and Costa – almost the entire team! That many players won’t turn it around in one week. Mind you, even Mou says they are quite low on confidence. They will surely be tensed.
I am more worried about us not rising to the occasion. If we fail to win, it will down to us not playing to our potential than Chelsea suddenly finding form.
Well put.
With any luck, they’ll be having to come to terms with that shattering home loss to Maccabi Tel Aviv when they play us.
They’re banned from banter. How will a bunch of thick footballers manage to communicate with eachother if they can’t use banter? They’ll be piss poor and lonely with it by Saturday. I think we could force the end of Moaninho’s reign if we put a few chances away this weekend, and his defence isn’t up to the standards of West Ham or even Liverpool on current form this season. He won’t be able to tell Abramovic that it was only a preseason game this time around.
On the march again another 3pts in the bag go#COYG
I think to kill Chelsea you more or less have to just prevent Matic from getting up a head of steam. How?
Pass around him!
You don’t let him get fired up by trying to dribble around him and therefore giving him the chance to make big tackles.
And give him no time on the ball.
If he starts to feel like he’s winning the midfield battle then he can become unplayable.
We have more than enough for them, first time in years I am confident enough to say that
Usually I’d be fine with a draw as long as as Terry gets a Sanchez thunderblast in the groin and subsequently lands studs first in Fabregas’s balls but screw it let’s hammer them 5-0.
Take a chair along Petr, you won’t have much to do.
*singing ‘Mannish Boy – Muddy Waters’*
everything ….everything gonna be alright this morning..
Oh yeah..
The thought of Alexis starting on the left against Ivanovic is giving me a boner
“I know every corner of the stadium and the space, so for me there will be no surprises I have never played at Stamford Bridge in the visiting team so it will be a new experience for me. Especially as I now see that John Terry is a cunt.”
Cech used to like cunts, but now he prefers coq
oooh cech..
mind asking..will he celebrate if he scores?
