Ahead of yesterday’s game against Watford, Arsenal Player said that Gabriel was absent because of ‘illness’.
Those watching on Sky Sports will have heard Martin Tyler say in commentary that the Brazilian had ‘undergone a minor operation’, and that was why he wasn’t taking part.
Obviously when you hear the word ‘minor operation’ in relation to any Arsenal player, you tend to think of this:
However, in his post-match interview, Arsene Wenger didn’t seem too worried, saying, “He should be available for Tuesday. He had a good training session before we left at our training ground and he looks alright.”
Phew! Until we see him of course. Until then we’re thinking of this:
Whew! What a relief!
Wow how did you manage to score a photo of Costa in his younger years?!
To be fair, ‘younger years’ is a timespan that could cover decades of his life.
That him holding the foot with a sadistic grin?
I’m still thinking about that blog …
Gabriel should be fine. For sometime now Arsene’s timescale on injuries have been more accurate. Renember those days when the proverbial “three weeks” than extended to months was the order of the day
This is unrelated; to think that many people (including some fans) felt at that time that we should have resigned Fabregas instead of Alexis. How foolish does that sound now.
*that extended to months.
I don’t remember anyone advocating that, I do remember people saying we should sell Santi for Cesc though, almost as crazy imo.
Barcelona wanted to offload both at the same time to raise money for Suarez. Arsene passed up the chance to resign Cesc and many a pundit went mad. The tabloids were awash with Arsene-bashing articles and how Fab was just the player we needed to get to the next level. Later in the market, news of Alexis’ availability came out. Arsene pounced. I want to believe that if we had made that signing for £28m, we would not have bought Sanchez. Meanwhile Mourinho was touted as a genius for signing Cesc; cue one year later, he doesn’t know what to… Read more »
For all the stick he gets, Arsene still seems to have an uncanny knack of knowing when to sell/pass on players. Cesc is a good example & IMO RvP another. Yes, he helped Man U win the title but that was pretty much the end of his peak years – £24 million for one hellacious season.
I remember the “Sell Ozil, buy Cesc” one and felt “too much twitter today.”
I remember those days well. When was Welbeck supposed to be back again? 😉
Speaking of Welbeck, there was some discord in the ranks when he was signed. He’s back sometime after Christmas I think.
That looks a little saw…..
played
I saw what you did there.
It was a grate pun.
This is getting out of hand(saw) – I think I should cut it out.
Enough now, just cut it out.
I HAVE NO SHAME
Saw Gabriel and his missus and some mates walk past me at 2am by Liverpool Street as I munched my maccyd’s. He seemed fine
Got the snip?
Interim Shaman Report:
The hornets were agitated by the constant nest-kicking for an hour, but when the glow-worms were introduced
they seemed pacified. Mr. Mesut ,the chameleon and Alexis the tortoise nipped off their barbs, ollie the frog gobbled up his chance of a free meal and finally the Welsh rabbit, Aaron, had the remaining hornets on some toast.
My tutor, Shaman Cowell, was greatly encouraged by the whole ritual.
Nearly choked on my pint when Tyler mentioned minor operation.
Thanks Bloggs
and “IT’S LIVE”!!!!!!
He’s getting his nose hairs transplanted as scientists haven’t discovered a cure for stench o’ costa.
oh another saga to unfold…. /arsenal/injury
Costa is a cunt!
Seems harsh to call him a cunt. I happen to be a very big fan of cunts in general….
