Do or die in the Champions League tonight as we face Olympiacos hoping we’re the ones dishing out a bit of Greek.
Here’s how the teams line-up this evening.
Olympiacos: Roberto; Elabdellaoui, Da Costa, Siovas, Masuaku; Kasami, Milivojevic; Seba, Fortounis, Pardo; Ideye
Subs: 7 other fellas
Arsenal: Cech, Bellerin, Mertesacker, Koscielny, Monreal, Flamini, Ramsey, Campbell, Walcott, Ozil, Giroud
Subs: Ospina, Gibbs, Chambers, Debuchy, Gabriel, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Iwobi
So, we have only three players on bench?
Terrible things has happened in that jersey.. Let’s jinx it tonight!
#COYG
All the best guys. Go out and give your all and I’ll be okay no matter the outcome.
COYG!!!
Come on boys! Show us what you made of
Come on you gunners! I am worried about the right hand side though, Walcott won’t provide any cover whatsoever. Bellerin will have to be at his best.
But he will provide goals !
Best possible line-up all things considered. No real offensive game-changer on the bench, but hopefully we won’t need one. Can’t wait to see Walcott and Giroud clicking like they did the last time both were fit at the same time (seems like ages ago). There are goals in this line-up.
Come on you Gunners!
If Ox has the right head on then he can change a game with his direct charging runs. Although we haven’t seen that side of his game for a while. So hopefully we won’t need him to find that today.
I would consider an injury-free evening a terrific result. Come on you Hamstrings!
Now I have saliva all over my screen. I hope you’re happy sir.
Come on lads let’s smash them tonite. Good luck.
Ox or Gibbs, only subs that could really affect the game.
COYG!!!
Ospina could, but let’s not go there…;-)
Paul is an absolute savage 😮
COYG!
Is that good or bad? 😐
Squeaky bum time! Bench is fine if we’re 3 up, but if we need a goal eveytone’s at home in their sick bed apart from the ox!
Tough place to go but fuck it,we’re Arsenal so let’s do this. COYG!!!
No more injuries please!
Nice to see Campbell given the nod tonight. His form has been good and he’s earned his place, above Gibbs and an out-of-form Ox.
Those worrying about our lack of attacking options on the bench have obviously never seen Ospina play up front.
We can pull it here! Come on!
This is the game Debuchy scores the 2nd after coming on in injury time. He then becomes club hero for a season and decides to stay. You heard it here first.
I could see us bringing on Gabriel for some balls into the box late on if needed. He’s shown he’s a threat in there and it’s basically the tactic we used at the end of the Monaco hame last year.
Arise! Arise! Footballers of Arsenal!
Eh I hope the boys are on better form than my banter tonight.
I think playing Campbell and Walcott over ox makes sense – the latter is off form and lacking in confidence, Theo and his pace will help contain them and Joel knows these guys which could be to our advantage!! COYG
I scrolled too far down and started reading our subs bench thinking it was the lineup! Nearly shat a brick
P.s I’ve had a pants day so hoping the lads can cheer me up
I bet you’re cheerful now!
We are going to win 3-1. If we lose its the jeresy’s fault.
I am sorry but I still believe ox should start and Theo on the bench to come on when the game gets stretched. But that’s assuming olympiakos will park the bus. But if they try to go for the jugular, then Theo starting may not be a bad idea. Also gab and kos would be a better choice if we are to camp in their half trying to pressurise an opening, just to be insured of pace to catch up with a counterattack.
Bear in mind if they park the bus to deal with theo that leaves more room for ozil and giroud to work in with regards to flicks and pushes their players back so if theo does manage to get in offside is less likely
Problem is the ox is playing so poorly that it would be like playing with ten men!!! So I can understand Wengers decision – looking forward to ox getting out of his funk and showing us what he is undoubtedly capable of but tonight is too risky!!!
Go out stay organised and try for the win. But don’t over stretch and get an injury. League priority
Tonight reminds me of Anfield in 89. No need to panic lads.
Damn work meeting scheduled to start about half you into game time. Sometimes I hate living where people don’t have their priorities straight and take time off work to watch the games – or at least Arsenals’ games.
^^half hour into game time.
Unlucky, mate. My boss specifically scheduled a meeting to later this afternoon so I could take a long lunch to see the match. I like my boss.
In that jersey? No chance. Let’s hope no injuries only
Need to up the tempo
OK I take my previous post back. COYG…….
So you should! 🙂
Nice way to do it GOOOOOOOAL giroud
No extra time? Rigged ref?
Walcott was so poor. Lack denfensive ability and awareness. Does not make the right run also…hes a liability today. WE NEED TO TAKE HIM OFF
Fuck me this is exciting! I love AFC football!
It’s up for grabs chaps!
Now we are in the situation where we have to decide whether to attack of defend. Exciting.
What I have learned so far: 1-The shirt may not be our problems. It’s just superstition
2- we have a truly deadly striker in group
3- Campbell is bloody good.
4- Why the hell we could play like this against west Bromwich???
Game comfortably in the bag by essentially 75 mins, but still keeps ozil on when he is in real risk of burn out. When’s Wenger going to learn the meaning of rotation?
this is excellent!
Joel Campbell is Sanchez+Carzola+Coq wrapped into one.
Fucking Joel!! Wrote him off after the mildly successful loan spells. Proving he could play at arsenal for a while
Me too. As recently as a month ago I was confidently saying he didn’t have a future with us. I’m eating those words now. Pass the ketchup, please.
