I’d hoped Elneny coming in would see Ramsey benched and Campbell still starting to be honest. Barcelona game aside, Ramsey has been mediocre for months now, and I really don’t like him on the right either

I sincerely hope so. He should’ve switched to midfield three ever since Cazorla got injured. The consequence is obviously Ozil’s misplacement from favored no.10 position, but he doesn’t see much of a ball anyway since our deep midfield pairing can’t control the game if Santi isn’t one of the two.
I like it and not surprised Gibbs is in as he knows how to present yourself in a NLD!

I think it’s a bid to get control of the midfield back, not a slight on Ramsey. Plus Ramsey’s natural pace of play is quicker so might be wanting to keep the tempo up and push Rose back.

Well there are some positive changes in the team but is it me or do we lol weak on the left hand side of defense? Gibbs and gabby – the former not played much and the latter being awful against manure and Swansea!!! However, look at spuds – what a bunch of morons!!!
Exciting lineup! Think that we’ve added defensive solidarity with Elbeny and Coq, plus both Welbz and Ramsey have defensive engines. (Ramsey has issues in the center, but he always puts in a shift — always.) Gibs is fresh legs, a fresh look, speed in recovery and going back. Arsene has put out there as fresh, radical and balanced a lineup as we can with the pieces available. COYG!

As much as I like Campbell, Ramsey has been effective from the right and arguably works better with Bellerin.
Call me an optimist or whatever. We were Favrotires against Chelsea and lost, favorites against United and lost, Favorites against Liverpool, Drew. However today we are not really favorites which means it is time for us to win.

The lineup is exactly what I would have chosen given our options at the moment. Seems the boss has finally wised up to the fact that no one we he picks will work alongside Ramsey in the middle. He’s got some serious hunting to do in the summer if he is to find someone who compliments him ie a disciplined, very technical, ball playing defensive midfielder. Shouldn’t be too hard…
How Campbell has not earned a start I don’t know, but happy to see elneny get a start.
He’s unlucky not to start but we all know how effective Ramsey is from the right. Was saying Ramsey should move back to the right and Elneny should come in on here just the other day. Only surprise for me is Gibbs’s inclusion but maybe the boss wants someone who knows how important it is in there.
Wenger shuffling things up working so far. No more intricate passing in their final third leaving us exposed on the counter, two holding mids clearing things up well. Soak up pressure and look to hit them on the counter with Welbeck’s pace leading the breaks. We still are not aggressive enough in te challenge until at least when Gabriel let the team know.
