Wilshere and Rosicky return in U21 victory

Jack Wilshere and Tomas Rosicky have returned to action in a 3-1 win for the U21s over Newcastle.

The goals came from Dan Crowley, Stephy Mavididi, and Serge Gnabry, but all eyes were on the first team players.

Wilshere played 65 minutes, Rosicky 45, as they make their way to full fitness and first team football. There have been no reports of post-game problems, and hopefully this is the first step for both of them to pull on a first team shirt again.

Watch the goals here.

1-0.

2-0.

3-1.

Speaking after the game, Wilshere spoke about his desire to prove his fitness before this summer’s European Championships.

“I’ve said before, I want really to go to the Euros,” he said. “So I know I have to get back into the Arsenal team and show the manager what I can do.”

Let’s hope he can do that.

Would love these two to get a couple of games under their belt before the end of the season

LAN… Oh forget it

Burn Baby Burn

I thought Gnabry played really well today. I hope he can keep it up and catch Wenger’s eye again.

So – Gnabry scored…start of a comeback for him too?

Is there an equivalent to Betteridge’s law of headlines for Arseblog comments?

Super Tom looked sharp. I so love watching him play. I swear the man has made a deal with the devil: eternal youth in exchange for 2 injuries per season. I so love watching him play.

Ebo

Or eternal injury in exchange for 2 youth team appearances per season

Norn Iron Gooner

What is it with our players and that haircut?! It’s bloody awful.

Ebo

Gnabry’s finish was superb, would be lovely to have him back doing what he can do.

GeeFive

TR7! I certainly hope you get some 1st team time before the year is out!

Kinghenrythe14th

Would love to have a flying Gnabry start against westbrom and show Pulis what he’s made of. When fully fit and on form, he’s like a Hazard with the strength of the Ox and brain of Iwobi.

GH

Really want to see Wilshere string some games together, honestly believe technically he’s england’s best player by some distance

I AM ARSENAL

If Gnabry shows the same type of promise he did before he got injured its all over for Theo out wide.
Better pay Henry or Wrighty to work with him over the summer(as he sits out the euros) as a striker, because he no longer fits in out wide

Wilshere game…

This guy is like Diaby…If ever fully fit and given a full season the sky literally is the limit.

Ebo

Wow! That does not look at all like a player who’s been out all season. Looks like he’s really been working on his long ball too, excited to see him get back into the team now.

Paul

Dan Crowley’s goal ……………wow!!
