RC Lens have announced that they’ll face Arsenal in a pre-season fixture in mid-July.
On their website the Ligue Un outfit reveal they’ll play the Gunners on July 22nd at the Stade Bollaert-Delelis, kick off at 8pm local time.
It may well be that this game was arranged as part of the deal that saw Lens youngsters Yassin Fortune and Jeff Reine-Adelaide join the club last summer. It was suggested at the time that a friendly was part of the negotiations, and so it appears to be the case.
Arsenal’s pre-season is full of travel, with a trip to the USA at the end of July, before friendlies against Man City and Viking FK in Scandinavia in August.
Jeff we can.
First
Your on the wrong site for that silliness mate
You’re
Everyone else has let you off for using “your” but I…
In mid July. …………. 22nd July.
Looks like a good chance for the younger players to get a game.
Release the Jeff
I’d like to see us play them and tap up the brilliant players of their team. We are a club looking to do sound business and its increasingly unsustainable to counter the unchecked financial doping happening in football by simply throwing our own money around.
When is the Jefferendum?
Wanna see the Jeff score a worldie and not celebrate like the lad he is
Slow news day?
lol.
Facing Lens is always a good idea, it really ruins the photo if you don’t.
Hrhr
An excellent opponent through which to examine our talent
Yeah but is this game still on after #brexit??
Lens cost a fortune.
Yaaah man!!
I mean’t Yeh men sorry…Lens
At this point I’d settle for a Salomon Kalou transfer rumor.
Not sure things are that desperate yet. Some Italian bloke recons we are going to sign Lukaku.
Same guy who predicted we would sign Benzema, Isco and Mkhitaryan …
Memo to Arsene: Don’t let that new Swiss guy take penalties.
I don’t think he reads your memos…:-)
Who knows? Wenger may search the net for the most negative comments about himself.
You should see what they write on Online Gooner!
Does anyone?
Like Every News Seen.
Ugh. Not even the Euros are doing it for me. Three of the most boring games of the tournament today.
True. The Euros have been boring shite. There’re nearly as bad as American football.
Especially Croatia vs Portugal, what a waste of time for hundreds of millions of viewers!
Hey Paul, where’s the spelling correction?
I can guarantee you that Arsenal v Lens will be 100% more exciting than these watching-paint-dry Euro games. I can’t believe I waited until the 70th minute to turn off Croatia v Portugal, which, at that point, had yet to see a shot on goal for either side.
Mostly I just stick it on the TV while I’m doing something else.
Fats ‘it’s “they’re” (Thanks for the “heads up” Coq) 😉
Quite right. Thanks.
