Arsenal have confirmed that they’ve agreed a deal to sign Rob Holding from Bolton Wanders.
The 20-year-old centre-half, who was voted the Trotters’ player of the year for 2015/16, moves to the Emirates in a deal thought to be worth £2 million plus add-ons.

The England under-21 international was part of Gareth Southgate’s Toulon Tournament winning side earlier in the summer where he played alongside Calum Chambers.
Holding will now join up with the Arsenal first team as they step up their pre-season preparations and could make his debut when the club travel to the States next week.
Interestingly, in the website statement, Arsenal say ‘We remain in the market, so stay close to Arsenal.com for any further transfer news.’
A hint at more to come? Let’s hope so.

He really does seem like a good signing from the few games Ive seen on TV and Youtube. Koscieny Mk 2? He’s very tidy on his tackling and has execellent reading of the game which I feel is more important than a crunching tackle (unless its against Costa or the cunt JT). Good signing!

I’m very happy with this purchase. From what I’ve seen he could become a very good player. I’m just surprised no one else seemed that interested at such a low price.

I predicted three signings this summer, but it feels like we’ll be doing a bit more now. Asano is obviously a signing for the future, so I would comfortably say we will sign another forward. I just don’t think it will happen until the end of the transfer window.
Who cares?
The best scenerio is that he’ll go out on loan, and the worst is that he’ll stay and turn into a decent player on our expanse. It’s not like I’m against having another Kos (hopefully), but he doesn’t need to get the experience in our club and on our expanse.
From what I have seen from youtube, every chance Xhaka pulling him back during one of his marauding forward runs and telling him pointing to the halfway line.. ‘this..this is where you pass the ball to me..and then you go back’ ..!
He looks comfortable and calm on the ball. Good buy IMO!

All the best for his future career with us……… That being said its all a bit fishy this article with Gazidez stratigically released just before announcing signing, and then the extra hint at more news…….
