Arsenal defender Julio Pleguezuelo will spend the upcoming season on loan at Spanish second tier side Mallorca.
The 19-year-old moved to the Emirates from Barcelona in 2013 and has overcome a series of injuries to make steady progress through the Academy where he’s played across the defence and as a holding midfielder.
Mallorca greeted Pleguezeulo’s arrival on social media and confirmed he’d joined his new teammates on tour in Holland.

Julio is the second Gunner to seal a temporary move to Spain after Jon Toral joined La Liga side Granada. Good luck to them both.
How tall is he exactly?
Well, they couldn’t fit the top of his head and the bottom of his foot in the photo.

He is 5’9.

This is correct according to TransferMarkt

arsenal dna that kid
That explains why Bielik went on tour ahead of this lad didn’t.
He’s a talented young guy. Lets hope he makes the step up that so many other youngsters have failed to do.
Never heard of him but if his “Barca DNA” can blossom on loan, it’s a win for everyone! Good luck kid!
He’s the guy with the classic post match interview, no? Think it was played in an Arsecast Extra a while back. Forget exactly what he said, just remember it was pretty hilarious.
Speaking after gaining promotion by winning the playoff final with the U-21s, he said, “the lads deserve it, they fucking gave everything today”.
In semi-related old news, there is a clip of a German commentator describing something Mertesacker does, maybe a goal, and calling him “der BFG,” and then, in English, “the big fucking German.”
I almost forgot about this; it was fantastic.
Seems the Twitter post has been deleted? What’s going on?
Loving these fuckin references?
Like the American commentators calling Rene-Adelaide, “The Jeff”. Awesome!
