oh deary deary me, it’s all true, it’s all so dour and grim. the pain, the pain. why do I put myself through this? (haha) I don’t think I even managed the usual faux optimism for this season. It must be said that all the liverpool goals were high quality… but still. Alexis looks tired already. compared to Mane, full of vim and vigour. Santi is slowing. Nacho sleepy. Ramsey – looks a different player for arsenal than he does for wales. Is this all due to management / motivation? Is it the Emirates non-atmosphere (except for when the vitriol… Read more »

I feel he is prepared but he failed to take the right options.
Koscielny should have at least have come on for the second half.
If not Granit and/or Santi should have played.
Where we are short is up top. Theo scored but largely goes missing where Giroud is involved usually through the entire game even if he doesn’t score.
Not unsurprising to most of us I’m sure, it’s customary these days to give the other teams a handicap. Lets hope it isn’t too generous.:P

Gunnerblog – I agree with your comments about Klopp being focused and invigorating his club.
I’ve admired him from his Dortmund days and used to think he should have been our new manager to replace Wenger.
Completely agree. Liverpool have managed their squad so much better. They Identified weaknesses, targeted players that fit into their system, done the business to get them in and moved on the players that became obsolete. We have done none of the above!

This isn’t the first time Arsenal have been unable to hold on toa lead. It wont the last either until a new boss takes over.
Tactically Wenger is a has been. The sooner he leaves.Arsenal could challenge.

It’ll be the 2018/19 season (or even later) before us Gooners even have a chance of winning the PL. Think it may go like this:
– 2016/17 – we miss top 4 and Wenger goes
– 2017/18 – new manager comes in (Simeone?), takes time to build his team and get rid of the dross
– 2018/19 – we start competing again properly, new managers style established, we come close?
– 2019/20 – we actually win??

Wenger is a dinosaur playing a game which is easily countered. He expects other teams to play to his style ie: you attack,I attack. Defence is given less priority.Attack is his main focus without making the defence strong. Recall the 5-4 win over Spurs and the 5-3 win over Boro ages ago.Well when you concede loads of goals but win, fans are happy and forget about about the poor defence. If the board are serious about Arsenal challenging and Wenger continues to lose, thats it.Football is about winning and not weaving intricate patterns and getting beaten time and again. The DS has said… Read more »
