Bellerin up for it against ‘dangerous’ PSG

Hector Bellerin says the departure of Zlatan Ibrahimovic won’t make much difference to PSG as they still have a plenty of quality to hurt Arsenal in the Champions League.

The Swedish striker was an iconic figure for the French champions in recent seasons, but the Spanish full-back insists there’s plenty for the Gunners still to contend with.

“I think that, as a club, they have loads of good players,” he said. “I don’t think it affects them at all.

“They have really strong front three at the moment, and anyone they play up front will be dangerous. We will face it as we would have done if he was playing. The team are up for it.”

The 21 year old was asked specifically about the threat of Angel Di Maria who endured a difficult time in England at Man Utd, but who looks much more at home in Paris.

“We know he’s tricky, has a good left foot, and he will be difficult to defend against,” he said. “But we’ve played a lot of top players. Whoever is up against him will be ready.”

Just imagine PSG thinking of how to stop Ozil’s pass, Giroud’s header, Alexis’ shot, Walcot’s speed, Xhaka’s long range accuracy, Kostafi’s wall and finally Chech’s glove. PSG has more to worry about than Arsenal…. Rooting for 3points….. We have embarrassed top teams at their turf on several occasions…. Ask them at san-siro …..COYG

Sounds like the lads are looking forward to this game as much as we are! COYG!

Bob Davis

It might be the game where play Xhaka and Perez play. Be great to see Xhaka put some through-balls to the forwards.

Emery’s sides have had had their best performances in the European cups so this will be a true test. Expect Giroud to start but hoping Perez can come in at some point and we could use his speed in counter attacks.

All this talking from both sides will most probably result in a 1 – 1 draw.

Nothing to do with the game.. Just want to say that I am always amazed by how quickly the comments section switches from mobs armed with pitchforks and effigies of Wenger in flames to “Walcott is amazing, Xhaka is great, all praise to Wenger”. Just incredible!
