Very tidy on the ball. Can see he could improve in all aspects but what a talent. From the highlights I could see our link ups around the box was better. Seems to have a good understanding with Ozil. COYG

Newxieland

Agree but needs better defensive awareness and to provide more support to Monreal. Hull got a lot of joy down on our left flank and at times he failed to track the midfield runners into our box.

Still very encouraging all round display at this stage especially at such a young age.

H18ury

Nice. If he was English the pundits on MOTD would have been creaming themselves. As he isn’t he barely got a mention…

Holyviper

I’m just thinking: isn’t he at par at what he does with Iheanacho, Dele Alli, Sterling and maybe even De Gea? Why don’t they sing his praise like they sing for those guys?

Thierry Bergkamp

To be fair, he hasn’t played as much. Alli and Sterling are regulars and Kelechi scores almost every time he plays, even if it’s off the bench.

Thierry's First Touch

You make a good point about the English player bias but tbf all the players you mentioned (Holyviper) do have a much larger body of work backing them (Delle Alli is closest to Iwobi in terms of ‘newness’). Sterling can boast of at least two impressive seasons with Liverpool and seems to be playing like everybody knew he could now that Pep’s arrived. De Gea has almost singlehandedly saved Man U from looking like the mountain of mediocrity they have been for the last 3 seasons+… I think he’s been saving them an average of 3-4 spots on the premiere… Read more »

Legrande

PFA Young Player of the Season. My bet’s on it.

Eternal Titi Berg Pat Nostalgia

Whatever happens Rashford is already the PFA young player of the season in people’s mind. Iwobi is not a goal scorer and goals are key in personal awards except for goalkeeping award.

Arsene Wenger's Zip

Plus, he’s English and plays for that club

FrankTheTank

Under the article I got an ad to buy the new Liverpool kit. Hehe

I guess reading 1 piece about Jürgen Klopp was enough for the alghorhitm to start pushing Liverpool merchandice down my throat.

Andy Mack

On that basis looking at mature porn would give you an add for a ManUtd kit!

Thierry Bergkamp

I actually saw a Sp*rs jacket 2 days ago and liked it

Arsene Wenger's Zip

Why the hell would you do that, Thierry Bergkamp?!

Duncan

He always seems to have that extra second, from his positional play and he’s touch. Link up has improved and i can see why he’s chosen over Campbell. He doesn’t have to run fast, the link up play and passing at top draw. Also Hull are a strong side and he matched all of the players the whole game for strength.

The Blerch

Interesting to see how much Coquelin crops up in this, constantly recycling the ball and providing options for him

Uba Ngenegbo

Iwobi is a talent; Le Coq is on fire! Xhaka and Elneny will have to work very hard to get into this team.

darth binks

for once, good music on a video.

James

Exciting player. If he’s going to play on the wing, he’s got to step up his defensive work. Snodgrass (and Elmohamady, I think) dribbled down his wing several times as he just casually jogged in their wake leaving Monreal to deal with it.

Lord Bendtner

Who’s Barnaby Stingwing? Did I miss something??

Concentrated Arse

Miss something? If you don’t know about the phenomenal Stingwing, you’ve missed everything…

Antispuds returns

He should get that goal. But alexi has it, oh well

Pacific Gooner

I agree, but he gets an assist I think

rich

see how many times the moves broke down when it reached theo, he scored one and set up another and had a part in the third, could you imagine where we would be if he was sightly better….iwobi on the other hand should just keep doing whats hes doing,he will only get better

ajuhamza

His decision making is fantastic. I would trust him to make decisions on even the toughest of dilemmas. Like what would you choose to smash Mourinho’s face with? A Baseball bat or an iron rod, when you can only choose one.

AlwaysArsenal

So happy to see Iwobi flourish. We’v needed a creative winger for some time now.

Also, I like how in recent seasons we have a surprise player burst into the first team. Coquelin and bellerin 2 season’s ago, Iwobi last season.

Wonder if it’ll be Chris Willock or “the Jeff” this season.
