As expected, Arsene Wenger has made plenty of changes ahead of tonight’s EFL Cup clash with Reading.
Here are the official line-ups.
Arsenal: Martinez, Jenkinson, Gabriel, Holding, Gibbs, Elneny, Maitland-Niles, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Iwobi, The Jeff, Lucas
Subs: Macey, Bola, Bielik, Zelalem, Willock, Giroud

Subs: S.Moore, Swift, Wieser, Kermorgant, Meite, Quinn, Gravenberch
The Jeff launch minus 59 minutes….
Me want see the Jeff
Me want goal
Me want win!!
Me excited exponentially
Hold the Gab
Great to see the Corporal back. Banter!
The banter duo on the right is back! We saw some of the Ox’s best stuff with the corporal behind him, let’s hope they help each other back to their best and beyond!
Wenger does put alot of faith in his teams and players.
The only senior player on the bench is Giroud!
Some well deserved rest for the likes of Sanchez and Bellarin who have played 90 mins of most games for us and their national team.
COYG
There is some serious talent on the bench with Zelalem and Willock.
I just realised this counts as one of the games Xhaka is going to miss due to the ban, but he wouldn’t have been playing anyway! Hooray!
We’re short one substitute there, aren’t we?
I think we are
but i don’t know why
Ben Sheaf is also on the bench, they’ve omitted him.
B Sheaf. I’m assuming his first name isn’t Barley.
Omar?
Stream?
Always enjoy the chance to see the young players play in a meaningful match mixed with some veterans.
I am confident the boys will do well
Is there going to be a live blog for this one?
Ependa on whether Blogs can get a good stream. That what he said on Arsecast.
Can’t explain it but I just have a good feeling about Maitland Niles tonight.
He’s such a talent.
much changed team choice from years gone by dont think he will change them either even if we progress further lets hope they make at least semi’s for play time nice to see jenko back playing not sure he will last the 90 mins but valuable play time for him i see AW keeping him as cover for bellerin especially as there is no Debuchy who obviously wanted to leave
Lucas on the double. I can get used to that.
Now off to find a dodgy stream ? Seriously though, these nights where you can enjoy the Arsenal way relatively stress free are the best
Highlights on Channel 5 at 10.30 (for all my Irish compatriots who know how to add channels to Sky)
Excellent lineup up. Back to the exciting days if cesc, debilson, diaby when. They went all the way to the final. You really looked at that team and saw the future of Arsenal. Same feeling with this one.
One nil to the Arsenal ?
