Carl Jenkinson has returned to Arsenal action, playing just over an hour in the U23s 0-0 draw with Southampton last night.
It’s the first time the right-back has made any appearance for the club since a 1-1 draw 2-0 win over Norwich in May 2014, a game in which he scored his one and only goal for the club.
He’s obviously still some way from first team action again, where he would be back-up/cover for Hector Bellerin, but the right-back position looks a little healthier now that he’s back in the frame.
Added to that, Mathieu Debuchy is back in training, so at some point the manager will be able to rest the young Spaniard who has already played quite a lot of football this season.

The banter level has gone a level higher!
Cheeky nandos all round
2-0 at Norwich in his last game
Correct me if I’m wrong but didn’t we win that Norwich game. Pretty sure it was the same game ramsey scored that amzing volley. Also remember Jenkinson celebrating like he won us the champions league in injury time.
All together now…..
Once upon a time I was falling in love, but now I’m only falling apart. There’s nothing I can do, a total eclipse of the heart!
Welcome back Carl!
Not 1-1 draw. It was a 2-0 win. Jenks and Ramsey worldy.
I would love it if he had won us the champions league in injury time – how awesome would that be?
Gute BESSERUNG Copral. Welcome back
