After three successive draws, it’s time to get back to winning ways today when we face Bournemouth at the Emirates.
Here are today’s official line-ups.
Arsenal: Cech, Debuchy, Mustafi, Koscielny, Monreal, Xhaka, Elneny, Ozil, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Walcott, Alexis
Subs: Ospina, Gabriel, Gibbs, Coquelin, Ramsey, Iwobi, Giroud
Bournemouth: Federici, Smith, Francis, Cook, Smith, Ake, Gosling, Arter, Stanislas, King, Wilson
Subs: Allsop, Mings, Ibe, Fraser, Pugh, Mousset, Afobe
Holy fuckaroo.
Good to see Ramsey’s finally been benched. Without Ramsey to cock things up, we will win comfortably.
Lol, my thoughts exactly. WTF. If you could be in lineups the bookies would have cleaned up, but they’re had been one lucky bastard cashing in on his 200-1 shot.
oxlade-chamberlain and debuchy, this is going to be dire
Elneny will be playing RB for most of the game while Debuchy tries to score.
ox has been playing well this season . already got more goals and assists than last season. whenever he came on as a sub he has changed the game.
and lets give debuchy a chance. he cant do much worse than jenkinson.
but was looking forward to ramsey and gibbs in this match. after they gave such a good performance agianst psg they deserved to start. maybe wenger is being cautious and rotating the squad. but eager to see ramsey xhaka midfield pairing and gibbs playing as a left back
Ox has earned this chance, hope he grabs it. Silence the likes of you, for a week or so, i know your memories don’t make it more than that.
Just support the players on the pitch. This doesn’t mean Chambo is in for ever. It doesn’t mean Ramsay is shit. It doesn’t mean Giroud will never start again. I for one am glad to see that Wenger is now able, and willing, to rotate. Long may it last.
And what a bench…
COYG.
am glad to see wenger finally learning how to rotate his squad. maybe he is doing that now because he genuinly believes he has good backups. whatever the case it will surely reduce the injuries to the main players
When I read Debuchy was starting, my first thought was – is this an Arseblog joke?
COYG
Don’t you just love the unbridled positivity and passionate support of Arsenal fans?
This is a good line up, nice to see Xhaka and Elneny in midfield and the Ox on the left as I think Iwobi has been treading water for well over a month now.
The Basel Base!
Welcome back debuchy. I still think he is a stronger right back that Jenko at this point. Hope he has a good game.
Former first choice for France, a while back though..
I hope the has a good game, but he’s never been a good enough. Terrible attitude on and off the pitch too.
Thank god he has finally dropped Ramsey. Coyg
You mad? Ramsey/Xhaka would have been ideal to test in the midfield right now.
ramey was one of our best player against psg.
Ramsey posts are never one sided affairs. Here’s hoping that his performances start tilting them green.
Stop whining. Rotation is needed and it’s good to see Wenger confident enough to change things up. Hopefully we don’t cock it up.
Now that’s a surprising line up.
DebuXhaka!!
Defo not the team I was expecting. Really would like to see Xhaka and Ox make strong claims for starting spots. Need a win to lift the team’s spirits after the series of draws. Plenty of pace to trouble them and hopefully Xhakelneny will get the ball forward quickly. Hoping for a strong performance – COYG!!
The way Bmths full backs push up it should be interesting with Walcott and Ox wide with space to play in.
Now I’ve said that I bet Howe’s instructed them to curb their enthusiasm and stay at home.
Should be an intriguing game.
#COYG
I would have gone for the same line-up,surprisingly.Hope that it works.
Xhaka to ping balls to Theo and Alex. Nice.
Is this the first time we are pairing Elneny and Xhaka?
No, they played in the league cup games together
Oh man I didn’t realise. Looks like Wenger is hoping to be a bit more adventurous with this pairing, hope this works out well
Full speed ahead!
Wenger definitely not happy with the midfield in the last two games, untypical for him to make so big changes. Still a welcome change and let’s see how it works. We should be a lot more technical with this setup. Debuchy finally gets the chance he has been waiting for
Probably Xhaka as the DLP and Elneny as box-to-box. In other words they get to play their best positions. Elneny is not a DLP which shows when he is forced to that role with coquelin
Only surprise is Giroud absence
it would have been surprising if he was dropped for sonogo
amazeballs
I like the look of this team (although I wouldn’t have minded Xhaka and Ramsey together).
I won’t be complaining about team selection if we don’t win (which I don’t think will happen but fingers crossed).
For anyone who’s moaned at Wengers lack of rotation, you now have your moment of truth.
This is pretty ruthless for Wenger. He’s not accepting our last three performances and that’s good.
Worth a go…
A ballsy selection. Let’s get behind it and bury Bournemouth. Need the 3 points to stay close to the leaders. COYG
Glad to see both right back put in the shop window….one or both will be gone soon. Defensive mids still on trial it seems…let’s hope the guys show up for us all.
Coygs.
I was hoping despite protest, Wenger will rest Alexis. At least he is not starting on the left.
Although, Giroud will be disappointed, he has been very effective as a sub. I can’t think of many better striker on the bench.
11 v 12 today, Mike Jones is already showing why Eddie Howe picked him today. Awfully nice as well for the FA to allow Bournemouth to play with 2 goalkeepers, both Federici and Ake have made outstanding saves in the first half.
Mike Jones enjoying his performance against us today.
Is Jenkinson injured?
Gabriel at right back could cost us this game.
