After the news that Lucas Perez had returned to Spain to continue his recuperation from an ankle injury, the Arsenal striker has provided some welcome good news on the injury front.
As Arsene Wenger frets over Alexis Sanchez’s hamstring, and the news that Hector Bellerin has suffered ankle ligament damage, the 28 year old may well help ease the crisis by coming back earlier than expected.
He’s currently back at home training with former club Deportivo la Coruña and he says he’s on course for a comeback ahead of schedule.
Trabajando ya sobre el césped. Working already on the pitch. On track for an early recovery. ? https://t.co/J3vvVZxJWn

The video he posted with his Tweet shows him doing some light running, tip-toeing around cones, and hardly sprinting and running hard, but if he’s ahead of schedule then that’s got to be a good thing.
Fish oil > horse placenta confirmed.
Seven Seas FTW!
Would be handy! If Alexis is out for a while it might be better to have a like-for-like replacement (or something close) who allows us to keep playing like we are than maybe a more reliable option in Giroud who forces us to play a little differently. Also keeps Theo on his toes in case his early season form goes missing
I would play this guy on left side and keep Iwobi as a regular sub. We need goals from the three attacking positions.
Exactly my thinking he has excellent cross which woul be welocmed for giroud, hope he is back before 1st of D3cember.
I want this guy to succeed so badly. Just seems to have the right attitude and work rate.
Will definitely be a boost to have him in the mix for the christmas schedule.
The Hound.
Sandor Clegane surely!
I hope we might get a glimpse of the xhaka-ramsey midfield sometime this month
This was also the plan a couple of seasons ago with wilshere and Ramsey, unfortunately injury didn’t allow us to try that one. But it certainly is a tasty combo if both are fit and on form.
Actually we tried it, albeit not for long due to injury, but I recall the general forecast of that duo to be “they shouldn’t play together, they try to occupy the same role on the pitch.” Makes sense enough to me, but as you say, it would be tasty if they could figure a working relationship.
I honestly don’t know where Ramsey fits in as a starter. His game is slow and does not suite the fast passing and movement required for opponents that prefer to sit deep. Opponents that come out and play leaving space for him to run into suits his game better . . . and there aern’t too much of the later type of games! Ramsey is not a starter for me.
It’s amazing how many have this fantasy with Ramsey. When was the last time he actually had a decent game let alone a special one.
Pretty much the entirety of the Euros he struck me as being “on form” but what do I know?
I needed this. If only he could be fit for the game at Old Trafford.
Apologies as this is completely off-topic.
My phone app keeps downloading part of the Arsecast/Extra and getting stuck (today I’ve got 22:35 available and it doesn’t want to download any more).
Does anyone else have the same problem/is there a way to fix it?
No idea, that’s very strange. Maybe unsubscribe from the podcast and subscribe again?
Already tried that, to no avail. It only happens on my work Wi-Fi as well, which is annoying when the podcast is released on a Monday afternoon (it doesn’t happen all the time BTW).
Never mind – I can still download from the internet (although it often ‘fails to download’ for some reason!).
It’s probably nothing to do with the app, so don’t worry about it blogs.
Very odd – try the @Acast app maybe?
Thanks – looks like a better way of downloading 🙂
The blog post on Wednesday was brilliant BTW.
I’m in the US and heartily agree, well done
Thanks man
I’m having exactly the same problem. I’ve unsubscribed and subscribed again but with no luck so far. Now when I try to download, the time remaining jumps around all over the place.
Is this in Apple’s podcast app?
ive always had this problem. I just listen to it on the website now. Never found a fix….although I didnt try very hard to to be honest.
This is fantastic after the Bellerin and Sanchez injury news. I HOPE Sanchez is fine and doesn’t have to go for an injury layoff. Will like to see a front 3 of Perez Sanchez Walcott soon
Back ahead of schedule as against the perpetual little setbacks, there seems to be a definite improvement in our treatment process.
Can he play rightback? @somedudeatFacebook
Not really but he is definitely good at playing as a coach
That is good news, but unfortunately it doesn’t seem like he has earned Wenger’s trust to play him much yet in matches other than the Cup matches except as a late sub. Not sure of Welbeck’s expected return date, but Lucas needs to get fit and prove himself to Wenger before Welbeck returns to action as that will be another person to compete for time with.
From now on, all our number 9s have to be left footed and named lucas.
