Time for Ramsey to show what he’s got now that he is paired with Xhaka in the middle. If he doesn’t work with Xhaka, it’s time to sell him to West Ham in the summer for the good of all parties involved.

Ramsey apostles are a funny bunch. when you point out his lack of defensive discipline, they counter that he’s “not that kind of player” and we should forgive his defensive lapses because he gets forward to create goals. When you point out that Joel Campbell had a better return on min last season (goals AND assists… look it up), they counter that Ramsey’s defensive responsibilities are holding him back.
I’m hopeful he pairs well with xhaka, but if he doesn’t, then where does he fit? Proceeds from his sale could subsidize a Santi replacement.
ramsey really does a lot of defensive work. look at the stats and you will see that whenever he starts in centre midfield he will be the guy who has covered most distance. and in most of the games he will be amoung top for tackles too. these are facts . what you are saying is your opinion . in some games he might have had defensice lapses but after all who doesnt make mistakes.
Yes… He runs around a lot, for better or worse. His tackle stats vary. They don’t keep stats on being out of position at key moments, but any objective observer would see his marking is poor

We are going to struggle with Maitland Niles out right back. Not to say he’s the only culpable player tonight but we need the extra protection and help going forward. Holding next to Mustafi because we look so shaky at the back. Shift Gabriel to Rback. Ox has been really poor tonight. Welbeck on for him. Wenger again, waiting till its too late.
