Rounding up the post-match reaction of Arsenal players following a defeat to Chelsea is as much fun as pulling out my own teeth with a jackhammer.
For the sake of my sanity, I’m dumping it all in one place and drawing a line under it.
Come hither all masochists and read…
Koscielny on the performance…
“I don’t think we played very well together in the same way, it was more one player after one player. I think we’d have had a lot of chances if we’d played quickly with our passing, on the flank we had to combine to have some opportunities. We did it in the first half. During a big game, if you don’t take your opportunities, it’s difficult to win the game. We need to be more efficient in both boxes.”
The Ox on being out of the title race…
“It’s slipped further out of our hands and there’s no hiding from that now. The gap is much bigger now and it’s going to be hard. But we play for Arsenal Football Club – if we don’t go until the end, we don’t deserve to be here. We’ve got to keep doing that.”
Cech on making mistakes…
“I thought that first half we did pretty well, but obviously they had their first chance and they managed to tap in the rebound which gave them confidence and this is what they needed because they could close the space and wait for the counter-attack. They are dangerous on the counter-attack, but we didn’t allow them to have many chances. Second half we felt that we were still in the game, that we could come out second half and score the equaliser and then to see what we can do. Unfortunately, the next goal came for them, and then obviously the third one. I gifted them the third one. It’s a shame.”
Happy Sunday.
Player 4:
“I am a bit surprised we lost as it wasn’t even raining. I think when we give the ball away so many times it does help the opposition quite a lot. Well it is February and I am pleased with our early year consistency.
I think I am injured”.
🙂
Spot on
Exactly what is superfluous at this time. The usual suspects rolled out with the usual platitudes. It simply ain’t good enough. I’ve never been a Wenger out person, I just want someone FFS to take this team by the scruff of its overpaid pampered neck and say MAN UP. Its awful seeing my team bullied off the pitch without even a whimper. It ain’t even like the cup where I could console myself by saying oh well it means less fixture congestion and we can concentrate on the (insert appropriate competition here) next Saturday is Hull who really kicked on… Read more »
You missed out the bit about mental strength and how we would have got battered 6-0 a couple of years ago so we’ve made “progress” 😉
Yeah Highberry I totally agree with everything you said. Watching the inevitable unfold on Saturday as we calmy slipped into auto pilot and played like a pack of absolute cunts away at Chelsea and lost. I just thought to myself, the team are just waiting to lose here. There was no genuine conviction from minute one. There was nothing there that suggested for just one second that we had anything about ourselves, that we were capable of pulling something off. Not one fucking player had a set of balls substantial enough in size to play that game yesterday. They just… Read more »
My sentiments exactly.
Unreal! You can repeat that same report for many on the field yesterday. even when bellerin get whacked in the head, Boone step up to show dissent and grab Marcos in the neck and stop the celebration. I beleive Chelsea players would have done that, sending strong message to that piss poor ref and the opposition. No beleive, no spine, no courage displayed there. Win or loose, have a plan and fight. Little pressing for 5minutes and even Sanchez gave up waving them in to press!

Can everyone please stop saying “loose” or “loosing” when they mean “lose” or “losing” and can the team please stop losing so we don’t have these kind of grammatical issues on Arseblog!
The film is “Every which way but loose”. That should help everyone going forward. 🙂
I before E except after C. And don’t forget capitalisation at the beginning of a sentence and for proper nouns
“Their” ?? 🙂
There people from everywhere who suport the Arsenal. How’s my mexinglish?
Don’t say ‘going forward’
Sorry
Ha ha, bloody annoys me too.
As does the incorrect use of ellipses.
It’s… not….. or…. or even……
Nothing to do with footie but footie depresses me right now.
No mention of “of”?
Could have = “could’ve” not “could of”, dagnabbit!

Gabriel on taking throw ins:
I think I should practice more on my throw ins, as recently I have been throwing in quite wildly. Maybe someone needs to take the throw in while I’m practicing to improve my throw ins
An absolute classic LOL!!
Did anyone hear about Ox liking an ArsenalFanTV tweet for Wenger to leave?
He already addressed that – “obviously never meant to and didn’t even know I had”
Case of Homer Simpson fingers.
But what was he doing reading it? Ooh, the plot thickens…
Probably just had it in his Twitter feed to be fair. Not as interesting a story though.
Anyone just having a horrid day since yesterday afternoon?
Yes your lordship. me who lives in the land of the lederhosen.
Wenger: “Look, we are disappointed but we will keep fighting until it is mathematically impossible. This team has great spirit and what it important is how we respond in the next game.
People forget that 11 years ago we finished 24 points behind Chelsea so you cannot say we are not making progress. Today we are only 12 points behind. We live in a world where everybody is an expert but let’s not go other the top with the critcism.”
Yawn!
haha, catching up from 24 points behind to 12 in 11 f*cking years and nothing else achieved(in the league)? thats a fact he hides behind today?? as a fan, this is the point when my frustration about the excuses, just turns into laughter. which is a bit sad, but easier to handle 🙂
Great spirit during team lunches, Arsenal player episodes and selfie sessions? Quite admirable, but nowhere to be found on the pitch when the game doesn’t go our way. To be fair, Arsenal have done a great job this season when knocking on the door and getting in at the last gasp. However, when it rains on us it does indeed pour.
the difference between wenger and other managers are evident in the postmatch press conference alone. when conte was asked about the defeat to arsenal earlier he admitted that about the team did not played well . every other manager does the same , when after facing a defeat they will tell what the team did wrong and where should they improve. wenger on the other hand will be like , we were not mentally prepared , refree was naive , sun was shining , earth was round…. he never accepts criticism effectively. always tries to shift the blame. earlier we… Read more »
I am not sure Wenger’s approach work with players nowadays. Not just the sugar daddy comments, if players know they’re going to be held responsible for what they do on the pitch then they react appropriately. You keep on not doing your defensive work or not following tactical instructions, you’re first downgraded to the bench and explained why. If you continue same way, you play with second team for a month and your agent tell you only championship teams inquire about you.
exactly . mourinho has benched hazard , mkhtrian and many other players for not doing their dirty work. he doesnt care about reputation , a player only deserves the spot in the team if he works for the team. same goes for klopp and conte and pochettino. fabregas has not even got to sniff of first team chance because he is poor at defending, not necessarily because he is not trying. fabragas does defend for the team, but according to conte it is still not enough. only when there are managers like those do the players push themselves
Did he really say that ? If so it just about sums up the attitude at the club.we are moving forward because we have lost the league possibly by less points than on a previous occasion.
My head hurts, it’s so painful listening to such shite.
Spinner that is brilliant but you forgot to add “we showed great spirits to go till the end and score a deserved goal”
Please tell me you made that quote up and Arsene didnt really say that?
I can’t help but to think we need a response to last week’s response.
I’m not sure I can take another response.
Sanchez: 0 created chances, 0 shoot on goal, 24 passes, 76% pass accuracy, 1 snubbing fans.
Özil: 1 shoot on target, 2 created chances, 65 passes, 90% created chances.
Time to stop putting the two on the same level when things go wrong… And to drop Sanchez for the next game. Then he’ll have good reasons to sulk and ignore fans.
Ozil passing to iwobi outside the box and him creating space and shooting is not creating a chance
So Alexis stopped 6 of our attacks – that a lot of missed opportunities!
Funny, but I commented on that a couple of months ago and got downvoted into the Twilight Zone. His awareness sucks. He is where so many attacks break down. Barca laughed when we paid good money for him. The only reasonable tactic would be to leave him up top, feed him balls and let him shoot, anything else, he’s useless. Welbeck looks more like a finished product anyway. Good hold up play, links well with others and has the pace to run behind defenses. Sell Sanchez and Walcott to buy a proper winger that can go with Perez.
Oh, come on. Alexis has some great assists, he gets up and down the field when on the wing, he makes life difficult for the opposition defense when they try to play out. He’s got weaknesses, sure. Walcott should have been sold six or seven years ago. Maybe someone could have made him into a very good winger, instead of a fast guy who won’t play defense and doesn’t score much. Why Perez doesn’t start but Walcott does is a mystery.
When he starts tackling his own players you should be worried. I can see it coming.
Satchel needs to be dropped gives the ball away so much every game
I think Rucksack gives the ball away much more than Satchel.
Are you trying to imply that Ozil played well yesterday? He was useless, wasn’t up for the challenge & just sulked when things didn’t go his way.
He was really poor against Chelsea. I still think he’s our best player overall going forward and can make things happen at any time. I’m not sure dropping him is the answer.
He has more sum of goals and assists than any other player in the league
Let Alexis go , he obviously doesn’t love the club that pays his already high wages, Alexis is all about Alexis.
I think he has decided to leave and is just running down the clock.
His heart isn’t in the club anymore it’s a shame because he’s a fantastic player but better players have been replaced before.
When was the last time he had a really good game ????
He doesn’t give a f##k about the club or the supporters !! Fact !!
We want players who love the club , who would die for the club.
Alexis has exerted tremendous effort on the field. He wants to play every minute and he plays hard. His bad attitude recently is largely because he does not see the same desire and dedication in some of his teammates. He came to Arsenal not out of love (really, how many players do that at top clubs these days?) but because he was going to start every game for a team that played open football in the EPL with a real chance to win silverware. He probably could have made more money somewhere else. He’s from Chile–why would he “die for… Read more »
So you are happy with his attitude on the pitch ? Your happy with him just walking off the pitch after a lose and not even show any remorse to the supporters who pay his wages ? Your happy with the way he is dividing the team spirit at the club ? Ok so players might not love the club they play for anymore but the majority of them respect the club and the supporters. Yes he’s a fantastic player but he’s not irreplaceable. To me he just acts like a spoilt little brat who wants get his own way… Read more »
It’s not hurting any less today…
Do some of these clowns still think we have a chance at winning the title? If only they’d show as much fight on the pitch as they did in the post match interview…
As a Frenchman I then had to endure the rugby. But at least my national team did put up a fight…
Wenger should be showing them motivational videos such as Bleed Like This and You Smart, You Loyal because he can’t motivate players. He doesn’t have the passion of Conte or Klopp. He’s won it too many times already. This is Mourinho’s problem too. He had born leaders during the invincibles so he didn’t need to lead them. But I bet he’ll be well up for Bayern.
Who the hell are we trying to kid? We have been on the slide for a fair old time now. AW WAS once the man – now he’s just an older man with less energy and drive. Add to that the fact that the club has failed to re-invest properly and hey presto! You have a big club going backwards. We need a young, hungry kick – ass manager who will scupper all of the lazy, overpaid prima donnas. I don’t care id Sanchez, Ozil or anyone else for that matter wants to leave/sulk/hold the club to ransom – there… Read more »
You can’t blame Wenger for the idiotic mistakes the players are making. He didn’t tell Walcott not to track Alonso and just jog for the first and he certainly didn’t tell Coquelin to trip over his own feet for the second and definitely tell Chec he’s playing for Chelsea again for the third I’m so fed up that people always blame Wenger instead of giving the actual culprits the stick they deserve , I bet they all slept well Saturday night. It’s time to put the pressure back onto the players and make them realise mistakes won’t be tolerated, they… Read more »
Because the only common denominator in 13 seasons of abject failure is our manager.
You can’t blame players forever. At some point it’s not about them.
Outside of the players doing it themselves, nobody but the manager can make them man up. That he is not able to do it is an indictment of his ability as a motivator nowadays.
The club shouldn’t even bother with these ridiculous pieces on Arsenal.Com, what else can the players say. they’re hardly going to come out and say that tactically we are a mess with absolutely no plan on how to play and win games.
These types of defeats used to hit me hard but they’ve become so frequent that your brain accepts it now. Ugghhh
I know what you mean. I knew the defeat was on the cards as soon as we lost to Watford.
Drop Cech and bring in Ospina.
Drop Monreal and bring in Gibbs.
Musatfi at right back if Bellerin is injured and move Gabriel into centre back.
Tie Walcott to tree, put a Sp-rs shirt over his head and tell him if he defends like that again Teddy Shering-cunt-ham will rub himself against him!
Mustafi doesn’t have the pace to play at right back, I’m not even convinced he has the pace to play at centre back!
Not sure who would win the race between Mustafi and our BFG??
I have little confidence in Mustafi; to an extent, I think folk have tried to see good things in him because he cost so much. I know he’s young and lacks premiership experience, but I would like to see Rob Holding get more games, because for sure, he’s the better prospect. As for Cech, the only similarly between our guy and the one who was so dominant at Chelsea, is his helmet (and arguably, even then he hasn’t been the same since the head injury).
Holding instead of Gabriel
I’d like to see Gibbs get some starts too, although Monreal was one of our better players (heh) yesterday.
And if Mustafi can’t get back he shouldn’t be making those deep fucking runs and getting out of position in the first place.
Coquelin isn’t fit to wear the shirt.
He’s been so lucky he has no talent what so ever he can pass ( short or long ) , can’t tackle, can’t defend, can’t header , isn’t quick and can’t read a gam , he’s one of the worse players to play for the club , it’s disgusting.
Answer this question “Half a Kante or a whole Coquelin”?
What other big team would he get into ??????
What does he offer the team ??
He’s so poor send him back to Chalton
I wish I had stopped reading at “Coquelin isn’t fit to wear the shirt”
Shameful and out of the blue! 🙁
Come on Bobby Davis, even worse than sending Theo to Guantanamo.
Haha, you have to be cruel to be kind!
its obvious where our problems lie. change the manager. bring in a left back or play gibbs there. whatever suits the new manager coqueline should’nt start any more. he is simply not that good. no team plays a specialized defensive midfielder anymore .literally anyone is better than him.we are much better of starting elneny who atleast knows how to pass even if it is sideways or promote maitland niles drop ozil. having ozil is our team does not provide any room for other formations and apart from that ozil is a defensive liability.we should adapt a three man midfield for… Read more »
Why are people hating on Monreal. He does a great job. He is consistent in his effort and ability.
he used to be consistent. but this season he’s been dodgy. we conceded about 5 penalties this season and monreal conceded 2 of them. he’s tied with xhaka on that one. if xhaka is rash monreal is conceding penalty because he is just not quick enough as he used to be and tries to make it up by pulling the guy or getting his hands across the opponent.
Too good Bob!
“Taxi for Mr Wenger”…
I don’t know why people downvoted this. We will never win the league with Wenger in charge. Seriously answer this honestly, if you really think Arsenal will be premier League champions under Wenger upvote, and if not, downvote. If you downvoted but still want Wenger in charge then you have no ambition for this club or you just love the man more than the club. I for one would rather get rid of anyone who is detrimental to this great club, don’t care who it is.
“Detrimental to this great club”…how do you determine that? The lack of silverware is a fair knock, but I’d argue we’re just about punching our weight, looking at wage bills. It’s not Wenger’s money, it’s Kroenke’s, and he he’s the one who won’t spend it. Wenger has his tactical shortcomings, and he loves his players too much to be as tough and ruthless as most managers are. He may not be a great manager anymore, but he’s still a good man, and lends class to the club. Maybe we’d win the league with another manager, but that’s not guaranteed. He’ll… Read more »
For me ramsey ozil monreal cech they are very bad players. Arsenal will be better with alexis welbeck and walcott or chamberlain like strikers
I think Lucas Perez is a player who deserves to start, rather than playing Iwobi the whole 90 minutes. Everytime he plays, he adds pace and great movements to the team. And yet he was dropped out of the squad..
Agree. Would rather see Perez over Iwobi. Technically he is much better, and is a better finisher.
But no, Wenger will keep going with one of his ‘proteges’
He is not technically better. It’s the Diaby principle being exhibited (much like with Joel Campbell) – the less someone plays, the better they become.
You could argue he has better end product (and you might have a point) but I don’t get all the love for him. His all-round play is OK and he appears to be a good finisher.
I’ll get down votes for this, but nobody will remember when he has a sustained run in the team and proves he’s not all that.
Against the top clubs arsenal have no clue how to defend as a unit. They can’t stay compact they get pushed all over the pitch. And despite having more useless possession they get killed on the counter attack. Same old arsenal. Same old wenger.
We haven’t improved since 2015. Remember we beat Dortmund at home with Sanogo at top, would we beat them now after spending all that money? I’m not so sure. We used to at least play exciting football.
Since 2015?, I would go back further than that.
I think we improved gradually until the second FA cup. After that we have improved our squad but not the results. Must admit though the PL has gotten tougher too.
Ox for me at least looked like he gave a shit about playing well. Cech and Koscielny were pretty abject, the former at least acknowledged that he set Fabregas up on a bloody plate. Even so should be dropped in favour of Ospina who, in fairness, has been excellent in the games he’s played. Koscielny needed to just put a foot in and not turn his back on Hazard at the last possible opportunity to prevent their second goal. He has way more experience than that and should be left pretty annoyed with himself this morning. Though it’s worth mentioning… Read more »
Would cech have made such throwaway comments when he was at Chelsea? Would he like fuck. Just goes to show the tolerance of failure and mediocrity at our club. So many players operating below their skill levels. As Petr says “its a shame”
And yet again, not a sorry even. He needs to be dropped, he’s been awful for a long time now.
I would prefer a media blackout than having this shit recycled for the umpteenth fucking time. Please please please shut the fuck up. You are making it worse. Fuck the fuck off for fucking fucks sake. Jesus cunting Christ.
^ this made me laugh 🙂
Fuck!
Is one of his key failings a failure to refresh his back up team to provide new ideas and impetus?
Shock, Horror, the football club that you support got beat and outplayed by another football club, has this ever happened before!!!! If you think because you support Arsenal it gives you the divine right to win all the matches and leagues then you may have to think again because you have made a poor choice, the last time I looked we were in third, so win more than we lose, thats a start, what you expect over and beyond that can and is the only cause for dissapointment, its tough to blame yourself but its the truth, expect to win = expect… Read more »
Of course as an arsenal fan I have a divine right to win every game and a hot line to the dressing room to tell them they are shit! Bell end But what you quite rightly highlight is that new manager has gone in there and changed things around. Players once deemed ‘rats’ are now lauded again for their efforts. There is a clear idea of what they are all doing. They all know their jobs and work their arses of for each other and their manager because that is what he demands, any less no matter who you are… Read more »
No a divine right to win games, but maybe a team that looks like they care. The passion from Conte and Abromavic demonstrated something rarely seen at Arsenal, the hunger and desire transpires from the top down. If that team actually looked like they’d prepared and came out to fight maybe yesterday wouldn’t have been as much as the predictable burn it really was! There is a divine right to actually challenge and prove your worth to actually wear the shirt, something blatantly lacking yesterday.
Personally when strange things occurs I consider them bizarre rather feeling driven to a Moroccan Market.
The difference is that Chelsea won the league two years ago and are about to win it again. We Arsenal fans have been waiting for 15 years and got beaten 7-1 or 6-0 or whatever in big games in previous years.
13 years but I will be happy if de do it within 15 years.
Ok, vote up if you’d prefer to be where we are or down if you’d like to be Leicester having won the title and getting relegated.
That’s not how it works mate. Would you rather have a chop stick down the knob or a snooker cue up the back pipe ?
What motherf*cking type of bull is this? Have you ever heard of ambitions? And no the ire is not because our “divine right to win games” isn’t fulfilled, it’s because the bloody effort needed to win games is just no longer apparent, starting from the manager all the way down to the players. And it hasn’t been present for the last 10 years now. I don’t give a shit if we don’t win the league if we’ve done all that we could to try and win it. But year after year of the same f*cking toothless tripe, no bloody urgency… Read more »
Yes, this has happened before, far too often against title rivals. If that’s your attitude then you’d be happy to finish pretty much anywhere bar the bottom 3..
The better team won. Let’s all move on towards another dissapointing conclusion to the season.
Awesome username
the better team won but the nature of the defeat is what is particularly depressing….
When everything goes wrong with a team, it’s not players fault, majority of it at least, but manager. Funny how not only Arsenals supporters but from other teams conclude he’s is unable to achieve a cup.
Players lost their own confident with the erratic tactics Wenger had display, specially this season. Starting with Giroud up front, then Alexis (successfully) located on center attack, then Giroud up front again and lately Sanchez relocated on CA… again.
Football players are like childs, when they can’t recognize an structure of behaves, they get lost.
Why can’t we find a way to just not lose a game when we’re playing shit. Most teams have a bad patch somtime in the season.whats wrong with drawing a game when your short of players or form.i know in this league you can easy lose a game but the way we lose games it’s almost like the players go on strike and refuse to follow any tactical plan and worse still, don’t work for each other and just give up. So many different players and formations over the years but this horrible trate has never left us. Even after… Read more »
We can’t keep blaming Boss Wenger for what our rubbish players doing, well we have to give him a credit 1-He just give them the Instructions and they don’t follow 2-The player they don’t play for him and the Club, let them remember we are paying alot of money coz of them rubbish what we need a progress.Big names in our Club doing nothing.
When diaby comes back it will be like a new signing.
All will be forgotten once we beat Bayern over two legs ?
it’s better to have complete instability in the team. If your team doesn’t have any idea what youre thinking then what chance do the competition have.
It’s better to sell great players and sign a cheap crap player with injury problems because you don’t get to see how bad they really are
It’s better to talk about passion than display it.
It’s better to allow world class players to underperform and become lazy and act like we are lucky to have them.
And now we are 4th…I love our club but for right now our players can fuck off. Wallow in some misery and some well deserved criticism. Get your heads right and start showing what you are capable of doing.
To all the moaners and whiners, where were you when we were winning????
Im guessing the “enough is enough” guy was at Southhampton but I saw no placard !!!
He obviously carries that thing around with him hoping he will get to use it.
Here as I have been following arsenal for 28 years
Not sure what your point is
Support your team…like those supporting 17 other teams that is not going to win the league, out of FA Cup & not even in Champions League!! If you cant do that…and only focusing on winning the league to be the be all and end all, then go find another team. Support your team at their highs & especially at their lows. Be proud of your team regardless. If you cant…you are not a fan. Go away. Enough of this bashing the team, players, manager, board. It hurts losing that shitty club and its hordes of racist fans!
We have been pretty poor this season when you look back on our results… Losing to Liverpool with two infants at CB because Wenger dithered on the Mustafi transfer… Tying Leicester City even though we were physically better across the board Tying 0-0 with ‘Boro… The 3-3 near debacle with Bournemouth Taking it to the death both times against Burnley… Dropped points against Sp*rs due to weak mentality The Everton loss; mental lapses to give Ashley Williams a wide open look at goal The City debacle… The form against ManUre that we were fortunate to snag a point from… Outside… Read more »
I agree. Very poor and points dropped very cheaply. The manager takes the blame as he does squarely on the chest. He needs to find a way to rectify this perpetual ‘slow start’, I suspect its a midfield issue more than anythingelse. It seems we prefer to ball watch at times then take action and that is also down to the team itself (certain players can do better) But to say Kante over Granit is a) hindsight b) inane because one moment we complain Wenger doesn’t spend to compete and when he does buy in quality (see Granit’s performance in… Read more »
Hahaha the Ox’s comments are a joke, right? Arsenal haven’t seen a title challenge out to the very end since 2008 and even then it was debatable. You don’t deserve to be here. Not many of the first XI do.
I’m not Wenger in or out and certainly feel he has hit his glass ceiling.
But the amount of shite he gets is untolerable.
Even if we should feel his days are long gone, we should give him utmost respect for how he has buitl this club and even when he has failed in recent decade to deliver the top trophies, he has still finished at a very high MINIMUM level.
A bit of class from the fans.
If you are unhappy direct it at the board but do it after the season ends.
I didn’t mention Wenger in my post. I stated that most of the firxt XI at Arsenal do not have what it takes to bring us back to winning ways in the Premier League. If you can present an argument which disproves this, then I will gladly listen.
The Ox for me has been the player in the last two games that has done far better than expected in a new position. As for his interview he said in other words, that players should give everything to be playing for the club no matter what.
Fair play to the Ox in my opinion.
It’s just the repetition of the same old thing, season after season, the same failings, the same embarrassment, lack of passion/ effort, men vs boys, all different individuals with the same lacklustre responses. It points to the only constant throughout these past years, AW. I love him but the time has come, cheerio
Tsk tsk…so much drama and gnashing of teeth. I understand the frustration but much to play for still. As much as it seems Wenger has hit the proverbial ceiling yet again and it looks very likely that we yet again fall of the title challenge, we have still to play for a high placing and we are still in with a fight. It could be worse if we finished below Spurs so we want to finish high at minimum if possible in second. Then there is still CL. Of course if we play the way we have been doing, we… Read more »
Same old Arsenal fans: you’d think Arseblog News comments were being trolled by rivals, but it is just the same old brigade who can’t cope with the pressures of being a diehard fan. Let’s hate our manager, our style of play, and even our players, especially that glass-chinned Bellerin who got himself knocked out because he doesn’t have the stature to win a title let alone an aerial duel, because they’ll never win anything. The issue is ALSO above AW. The owner does not care. I really hope AW can go out in style with another FA Cup but I can’t see how that is possible. Chelsea will win that as well. But even then we would be left with a manager who has an owner who does not care. I pray the team is sold to a football fan.
Also… can someone call Rome please.
I know it’s just a game…bit man I’ve been depressed since yesterday?
Handbrake, maturity, mental strength, red zone, jaded, winter break, fixture congestion, blah blah.
I also didn’t see it (the match).
Is it the manager’s fault or the board not being more committed to winning a championship? I look at the last time we won the league and what sort of set up, who was on the board. Is Stan Kroenke ambitious enough to want to win an actual championship? because what I see is that both his franchises in London and LA aren’t producing the goods on the pitch but more than adding to the money pit. Would it make a difference with a different manager in the hot seat because I see a lot of mediocre players getting over… Read more »
If we don’t win/make the final of (a) the Champions League (cough, cough) or (b) the FA Cup then Arsene will probably do the honourable thing and retire. Even he looked sick of it at Chelsea. Alexis, Ozil, Iwobi, Cech, Walcott … very very ordinary … the Prof has lost the dressing room if they can’t get up for a game like that. Even if we beat Bayern it may be a little much to expect them to go all the way to final in Cardiff. Sutton away in the FA Cup should be winnable, if we turn up. PS:… Read more »
We keep saying the same things after every game. I have a few questions; Who built the team? Who picks the players? Who decides the tactics & substitutions? Who gets the glory when they win? Who trains them? Who decides who’s bought or sold? Who? Who? Who?
I blame that person for the results this team is getting at the moment and he/she should be made accountable!
Wenger has to go and it pains me. Chelski wins becuase thier owner is anbitious and does not expect mediocrity. Ozil is a luxery player and a wimp. I dont care how many chances he creates he has no backbone no will to compete easily pushedbof the ball , will not jump. Your best player needs show up in big games away and he never does. Sanchez was selfish today. Need a new coach to come and buy his own players.
I have nothing to say.
Thumbs up who likes Marmite.
So the problem was Sanchez??!! Koscielny was easily beaten by Hazard, Cech gave Fabregas an assist. 15 goals and 8 assist so far to me is a good team player. There were these displays before Sanchez and they will likely be after unless something happens urgently.
The buck does not stop with Sanchez,.. its someone beyond.
