Back in December, Arseblog News got wind of news that former first team physio Gary Lewin was set to return to Arsenal. What we didn’t know was the position he’d be taking up.
Today, the club have confirmed that Lewin will assume the lead physio role with the Arsenal Ladies first team squad covering for Mary Shiels who is on maternity leave.
Speaking about his return to London Colney, Gary said: “It’s a pleasure to join the team at Arsenal Ladies and see how much the women’s game has come on since I was here with the men’s team from 1986 until 2008. With the upcoming SSE Women’s FA Cup rounds and the Spring Series, it’s a very exciting time to be part of this club.”
Lewin left his role as England’s first team physiotherapist in May having held the position since 2008.
I think we can all agree, this could well be the turning point in Arsenal’s season.

Ffs, these Lewin’s are nothing but trouble. Diaby, Eduardo, Ramsey… they did nothing to prevent these guys getting injured. Stealing a living.

Great news for the Ladies side, Gary’s one of the country’s top physios and I’m sure the current staff will learn a lot from him while he’s involved in the set up (I would assume until the end of the Spring Series?)

Well I’ve learnt from very credible sources that Physios, Taxi drivers and Pizza delivery guys have highly sexualized occupations. Let me just verify that information.
